A Super Tall Blonde Hottie Goes Bonkers in the City
4 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, it's a cheap, cheesy B-movie but what normal, straight dude wouldn't enjoy seeing a gorgeous, goddess sized blonde like Rachel Riley in a bikini πŸ‘™ going around IRL? Lol! 😜 Her friend was kind of pale in comparison to her in the flick πŸŽ₯ imao though.

It's a pretty cool concept. It's just too bad they didn't have a bigger budget. I plan to watch the sequel with the "Fem-Bot" soon to see if it is as much fun. Director Jim Wynorski makes a lot of good, cheap sci-if/horror and even slightly comedic movies 🍿 and he supposedly contributed to this one some.

It should have a higher rating on IMBd due to its entertainment value alone imo.

It's Good but the current times effect the classic story.
14 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I like it. However our PC times threaten to destroy the source material. Hope it doesn't. I want this classic to go out in style. Spike and Jet are done well. Faye is a total disappointment. She was meant to be a hottie. A good looking brunette who compares to an American super model (but had a few issues with Spike, Jett and sometimes Ein, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi). Should have had a taller girl with legs.

Not too happy that Netflucks canceled the second season. Even though it is not on the level of the original it would have been better to watch than most of what's on.

Vicious vs Fearless was a good idea.

Probably the Best "Found Footage" I've Seen
29 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'll be the first to admit it. "Found Footage" films do NOT rate very high on my genre of movies to watch. I burned out on them soon after all the copy-cats decided to be like "The Blair Witch Project". This movie was actually kinda different.

It really has only one character in it named Tim played by Thomas Grieser. (There two others that make brief appearances but they really don't count.) He does an outstanding job as a guy who is nightly tormented by noises coming from his basement.

It sounds like a simple plot and it is but the directing is done in such a convincing and believable way you never get bored. Yes you can tell there was a small budget but that doesn't hurt anything in this flick. The build up and conclusion are very good so it's not one those films you feel like you totally wasted your time on. Definitely worth a watch for a "Found Footage" film.

Looking for a Great Werewolf flick?!? This ain't it...
17 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Anytime I see I a new movie that's come out which reportedly states it's about lycanthropes I begin to get my hopes up. After all werewolves are probably my favorite thing to watch coming out of Hollywood. Like I said, "I begin" then reality sets in and reminds how 90% of the few werewolf movies made these day plain SUCK.

"As The Village Sleeps" is no exception. From the very beginning you can see how cheaply it was filmed. The characters (who couldn't act) are all dislikable except for possibly the older, married couple. The writing was inconsistent with plot holes all over the place. People just went missing without any explanation. The special effects and make-up were high school level. And the conclusion will leave you saying "Seriously?!?".

Yeah this film is that bad and it's people like this that give this type of movie genre a bad reputation. Hopefully they'll move on to making zombie flicks. They can try to peddle their fare there in that flooded market.

Horrible Looking Werewolves

Warning: Spoilers
It might have been a decent flick but those werewolf designs were some of the WORST I've ever seen! The creatures resembled huge pigs with ALF faces. Hard to take seriously without laughing! πŸ˜†

Always in Debt Dante
17 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Pretty much the same storyline every episode. Dante goes out and hunts down a demon ( always referred to as a "Devil") to slay. The artwork is a little above average. His bratty girl sidekick does get a bit annoying. My biggest irritation with his character is the fact he continually gets himself further and further into debt after each case because of idiotic decisions. It would have been funny seeing him screwing up his job pay a couple of times but EVERY TIME?!? Yeah, other than that the show was decently entertaining.

Jakob's Wife Gets a Vampire Makeover
27 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
When I rented this from Amazon Prime I had high hopes for a genuinely good vampire movie. It was a new release and all that. Alas I would soon be disappointed. It started halfway decent but soon the unfunny comedy relief and woke messaging began disrupting the would-be plot. It was like the director/s couldn't figure out if they wanted to make a serious film πŸŽ₯ or a cheesy comedy. I guess you could say it's like looking at a glass half full or half empty. When it was over I felt like it was pretty much dry. Another thing that bothered me- Why didn't the preacher ever use his crucifix? He had that big one hanging in his car?!? Just a lot of sloppiness.

Super Stuff!!!
26 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is an EXCELLENT superhero series. It's possible in the future that I might actually like it more than Amazon Prime's "The BOYS". The idea of an "Anti-Superman" really does make a killer plot, literally. Great job to everyone involved. Really looking forward to future episodes.

Absolutely PITIFUL!!!!
28 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
LOL! This is definitely the WORST werewolf "movie" EVER made. And I have seen most of them because they're my favorite type of film. Everything about this was wrong. The acting, the directing, the storyline, the backgrounds/locations and the special effects were so so BAD I really wondered how the people involved kept straight faces. I mean 5th graders could have done better on a stage than these ass-clowns 🀑 ! The costumes were absolutely LAUGHABLE! Seriously, the so-called "werewolves" looked like fuzzy Teddy bears 🐻 with crude, sponge rubber faces and foam teeth. The incredibly slow action scenes looked like they were playing "Patty Cake" with each other instead of fighting. Do yourself a favor and go play with your dog, call your mom, clean up your room... anything that's productive besides wasting your time on this mind rot of a movie. 0 out of 10 Stars and that's generous.

I wanted to like this Italian, supposedly horror flick especially since Halloween πŸŽƒ is right around the corner. There was just one problem. It wasn't scary at ALL! 😟 Pretty much a predictable, slow burner πŸ•―with a dull twist.

Like a Cheesy 80's Horror Flick πŸŽ₯ But Worse!!!
30 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First off the acting by the "diverse" family members was laughable. The main protagonist, Stephen, was a kid with severe issues and personal problems way before he got possessed. Secondly, the special effects really looked like they were from the 1970's. And thirdly, why would a demonic entity be upset about the wrong doings of humans anyway? Yeah the whole plot/production was weak. I gave it two stars since the actors kept straight faces while filming it.

Don't believe any of the negative reviews. I went into this flick expecting an average/so-so plot. Boy, was I WRONG! It's a great debut by director Clark Duke and Vince Vaughn, Liam Hemsworth and John Malkovich really shine in their roles.

Bridge of Boredom w/ BAD Camera πŸŽ₯ Work
13 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I'll make my review simple. This was the most BORING Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks production I have ever watched, especially when compared to some of their classic works. I really loathed all the camera shaking plus the constant zooming in and out during the film. It sure didn't make up for the lack of action in the movie. Absolutely nothing memorable happened! That's TWO and a HALF hours I'll never get back.

A Werewolf or a Vampire Comes at Night? No! Nothing Comes At Night!!!
14 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The makers of this film 🎞 consider it to be a horror movie πŸŽ₯ . I totally disagree. Basically it's just a few idiots hiding out because of a virus. The saddest part is when the dog πŸ• dies because you don't even care for the shallow characters themselves. People who paid money πŸ’΄ for this sh-t πŸ’© should get a refund for false advertisement because nothing ever "Comes At Night". One star for the dog.

🏰 Castlevania, A Helluva Good Show!!!πŸ—‘
12 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Well after having watched the first three segments of "Castlevania" I feel like I can say they get progressively better with each season. I'll briefly mention the first season and review the second and third seasons soon. In season one we are introduced to Lisa of Lupu. She is a brave woman who is seeking knowledge of medical science in hopes bettering mankind. She goes to the castle of Vlad Tepes, also known as "Dracula" by the locals, to seek his guidance. Even though Vlad is known to despise humanity and slaughter people who bother him Lisa confidently goes to his door and introduces herself to him. Dracula becomes infatuated with her and they soon marry even though he is vampire. They have a son they name "Alucard" (Dracula spelled backwards). For twenty years they are happily married and Vlad travels abroad (Lisa's request) to better know mankind. However in the twentieth year religious fanatics from the Archbishop capture Lisa and declare her science "witchcraft"! She is publicly burned at the stake, crying out for Dracula to not take vengeance on them because they don't know what they are doing. As expected Dracula returns from his travels and is ENRAGED when he finds out what has happened. He goes to the city in a giant, red, fiery form in the sky and gives them exactly one year before he unleashes total HELL on them. Next we are introduced to Trevor Belmont. He is the last of his lineage from a famous family of vampire hunters who seems down and out of luck. Trevor's luck changes when he rescues the magic wielding Sypha Belnades from a dungeon where she had been petrified to stone by a cyclops. She then decides to stay at Trevor's side for the meantime since they presumably have the same interests. Together they slay various undead monsters and creatures of the night. They finally manage to free Dracula's son Alucard from his imprisonment and get his help (after a brief skirmish). This pretty much ends season one. Will continue season two and three soon.

Mumblers: Dank Tommyrot or just Pure πŸ’©!
15 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Plain and Simple, this movie Sucks! The so-called "Monsters" are in it less than 6 or 7 minutes. It's basically a politically correct war movie that takes place in the Middle East. It's impossible to care for the central characters because they are so unlikeable. And what little action that does take place has so many lulls in it you'll catch yourself going to sleep every few minutes! This is nothing like the first movie at all! Watch only if you're trying to go to bed.

ZERO STARS for a Werewolf Movie with Zero Werewolves
14 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This quote "movie" literally is a huge πŸ’©!!! Lindsay Lohan has definitely sunk to a new low by attaching herself to it even though she's not the main character. None of the actors seem to know how to act. Given the plot maybe they just weren't that enthusiastic about the whole thing and just didn't try? It was pitiful! It wasn't just a bad werewolf film, it was simply a HORRIBLE movie! I couldn't find any redeeming qualities about it. Please Do Not watch this unless you like punishing yourself. Spoiler Alert: 🚨 There are NO werewolves in this. Just a few scummy people with small, plastic fangs and glowing eyes, jumping up and down every once in a while. ZERO STARS

Garth Ennis Done Right βœ…!!!
11 February 2020
I have followed the career of Garth Ennis for over the last twenty-five years. His gritty, dark humored brand of work on "Hitman", "Preacher" (especially), "The Punisher" and many others have always suited my taste. While I'm not so sure "Preacher" translated so well over to television on AMC I have to say "The Boys" has exceeded my wildest expectations! The acting is superb. The directors try to stay close to the source material. The plot is constantly moving forward and the characters are "Deep" (pardon the lame pun). I cannot say enough about how well they have done with this series. And it's all owed to one man's genius, Garth Ennis. 10/10 stars

Started Well but Bombed πŸ’£ at the EndπŸ’₯
8 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The first few episodes really grabbed my attention with all the mysterious drama buildup presented by "The Stranger" as she mentally antagonized different people with shameful, personal secrets. I couldn't figure out who to root for. It was a pretty good game of "Who Done It?" or really "Who All Did What?!? for a while. The characters were being really fleshed out and well developed. I thought this storyline was leading to great things and going somewhere. Unfortunately by the last episode some things were explained and many were not. The ending was CATASTROPHIC!!! It felt completely rushed, with so many plot/pot holes πŸ•³ you'd need a full cement truck to fill them up. However they (the directors and producers) felt like episode 8 gave the series full closure. The directors have even said they doubt there will even be a second season. Too bad, maybe they could have redeemed themselves and cut a lot of loose strings off that were left hanging? Or maybe "The Stranger" will slip off into Netflix obscurity and oblivion like so many of their other programs? Only time πŸ•° will tell.

Ha! This does NOT qualify as a movie πŸŽ₯, let alone a werewolf 🐺flick. πŸ—‘"The Witcher"πŸ—‘himself is Great!
18 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I must say I find the main protagonist of "The Witcher" an immensely, cool character. Watching his adventures as he slays demons, monsters, the undead and other dangerous foes plus surviving treacherous trips through magical kingdoms has been everything one could ask for. Along the way the writers have tried to develop interesting supporting characters and subplots, especially with reoccurring flashbacks. That's been fine except towards the middle and end of this first season the writers/directors seem to have ENTIRELY focused on these supporting characters and are giving the title character, Geralt of Rivia, very little screen time. Like I said, I really enjoy this show but I would like to see more attention focused back on the title hero in the next season.

No Comparison to "Dog Soldiers"
17 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
When I saw "From A Producer of DOG SOLDIERS" on the advertisement for this film 🎞 on Amazon Prime, plus the fact it was about werewolves, I was sure I had struck it richπŸ’°! Well I was about to be sorely disappointed. Basically a British girl (Sarah) comes home back from LA to find her stepfather and stepbrothers' home/mansion πŸ› in total disarray. The stepfather is having financial difficulties and possibly marital problems with Sarah's mother who has left for the evening. After visiting with him she goes out to join her step/half brothers (it's a bit confusing) who are getting stoned with a couple friends in a barn. None of these characters were likable in the least and I kept hoping for a werewolf 🐺 to hurry up, show up and slaughter their idiotic, annoying asee off! Anyway, the power goes off suddenly and they all think it's due to the storm β›ˆ outside. So they all leave the barn to go back to the house in order to get candles πŸ•―, more booze πŸ₯ƒ and drugs πŸ’Š. However when they come in, UH-OH! there's some ketchup, I mean blood on the carpet leading upstairs. This leads to some very poor camera πŸŽ₯ angle scenes and chases by an unseen assailant. The foolish characters do very foolish AND predictable things in response. The werewolves turn out to be cheap looking, bald subhumans. The police πŸš” are useful as wet paper bags. And the so-called twist at the end of the movie was revealed about halfway through it. Don't get me wrong. I loved "Dog Soldiers" but if the producer had a connection to that great werewolf movie and this flop, he definitely shouldn't claim it.

A Pitifully Poor πŸ•Pizzeria Plot that Peters Out
20 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I have admit this film 🎞 first got my attention because it mentioned there was a werewolf 🐺 in it. I should have known early on when they mentioned 40,000 ghosts πŸ‘» walking casually among the public in the bordering city πŸŒƒ this wasn't going to be a very scary movie πŸŽ₯. Hopefully the comedy would be entertaining enough. WRONG. It was about as funny as starring at a sick pig πŸ–. The directors later introduced some asinine witches but this just made the whole thing even more ridiculous. The werewolf's makeup was the worst I've seen in years, slightly better than the acting though. I don't think the people who made this were taking it very seriously because it's not a B movie. It's more like a D- or F. And finally some scenes may cause you to lose your appetite 🀒 for pizza πŸ•. Yeah, I gave it 2/10 stars simply because the actors kept straight faces throughout it.

A Beautiful but Boring Film 🎞
11 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Emilia Clarke carries herself well as a nurse πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ sent to help a suddenly silent boy πŸ‘¦ (after his mother's death) in this supposed "thriller" ghost story movie 🎞 . Unfortunately the storyline the directors gave her fails to deliver anything that grabs that audience's attention. There's not enough supernatural occurrences (if any) or action to stop this from being a πŸ’€ snooze fest. I felt like it was falsely advertised in the previews. I'm giving it 3 out of 10 stars simply because it had wonderful scenery and good camera work πŸŽ₯.

A Fun Appetite for Destruction Film 🎞
10 December 2019
I found this darkly humored, low-budget movie πŸŽ₯ about a gorgeous, cannibalistic girl named Daisy (Lauren Parkinson) and a psychopathic, tattoo hating murderer simply called "John Doe" (Bret Roberts) surprisingly interesting. It's not going to win any Oscars but there are definitely no boring parts in it. The camera work is good and the storyline flows fairly evenly. For horror film 🎞 lovers there's plenty of blood and violence tapered off by just enough tongue-in-cheek comedy to be enjoyable. The 6'11" Scott Barrows as Daisy's brother "Bubba" and Travis Eberhard as "Charlie" the midget motel 🏨 manager also carry their roles well. It's fun πŸ™‚for a rainy🌧 afternoon or late night πŸŒ™ watch.
