Mario (2018)
A short but of so sweet love story.
A beautifully sweet start to a romantic connection for Mario and Leon portraying the difficult path between sport and love. This follows for most of the movie sadly ending with a realistic heartbreaking end that we all knew was coming, but had a glimmer that a fairytale ending was still possible. A rare movie to capture so much is such a simple way.
Mi mejor amigo (2018)
The loss of an nonreciprocal first love.
A beautiful movie where it does not use scenes of flirtatious behaviour or unbelievably good looking actors to portray (some may argue) a love storey.
Lorenzo's emotions are matched very well for the scenes and effortlessly shows the turmoil Caito behaviour has, which only seems to magnify the attraction.
A simple love storey driven by the younger of the two, where it captures an idealistic ending of that loss of an nonreciprocal first love.
The Imitation Game (2014)
My second 10/10 movie
A movie that shows the other side of the war and the heartache of Alan who just wanted to love.
Going into the movie I had no idea of Alan's sexual preference and how intertwined it would be with the movie, it was cleverly done so even the most homophobic of people could relate without really knowing until the end, or if they pieced it together during the movie.
10/10 rating is just like every other 10/10 rating people have submitted. I prefer a simple message that this is a movie I will buy and be proud to display in my cabinet of very few other movies over the years. It may not be a movie full of drama or action that I would watch every few months like a fanatic, but it's a movie I have enjoyed, and likely to not forget, just like WWI and II, it plays it part of bring history back to life.
A movie which should be played in history classes in school.
