Dead End (I) (2003)
1/10
Worst movie ever
15 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I can't even begin to explain how terrible this move was! Pointless scenes, horrendous dialog, predictable, no story, weak concept, terrible acting, the list goes on.

In one scene they think their picking up a woman in distress and leave their daughter, alone on a road, at night, in the middle of nowhere because there was no more room in the car (even though there was) to walk back to a shack where they where returning. Who would do that!? The following scene involved their 32 year old "teenage" son going of in to the woods to masturbate to a poster while his sisters alone on a back road and there is a strange woman and a dead baby in their car. Pointless never ending completely unrealistic drivel.

I was tempted to turn it off on many occasions! I appreciate that this was low budget but if I could relive my life without having seen this disaster of a movie I would. If I could score it any less than one out of ten then of course I would. Save yourself the rental cost and avoid this one like the plague.

I had hoped it would have been better

Visually i wanted this movie to be so good. The opening scene is very appealing as it develops, however it becomes tedious. There are quite a few wide open shots which was nice, although scenes almost never change until the character is completely out of shot even if thats a mile away! This method becomes obvious and boring you realise quickly that you could look away for these long periods of time and miss nothing. With the exception of a few scenes that where beautifully executed ie John and the dog outside the school whether through the genius of the actors timing or pure chance, id say chance personally, its probably my favorite scene. The rest of the movie is filled with views of actors backs, i have no idea what this was intended to achieve. As the audience we are not seeing it from the characters perspective especially since its only the actors back in focus nor are we really watching, seeing or experiencing them. Not only that you then have to endure the same scenes repeatedly from a different angles.

As for the script. Can i say what script? most of it is silent and what is said has no real substance. The delivery of lines was also weak.

The movie all round from the beginning had a somber tone. Which was bizarre, it was for the people involved and an unknowing audience an unforeseen event, yet the movie prepared you for it the whole entire time. There is also an emphasizes on characters that seem somewhat uninvolved in the main out come.

Id have to say over all its probably not even worth the watch, i was very disappointed.
