ParaNorman (2012)
8/10
A long awaited animation
29 June 2013
This movie is something i have always wanted. A movie that treats children like they should. Pixar do this a lot, kids these days are a lot more mature, than some of you may think. Paranorman not only is good for children but for adults. The animation in this is absolutely stunning, you can admire the amount of work that the creators put into this as the movie unfolds the area and lets the viewer become invested in it. Paranorman may frighten very young children, but can be changed due to the quite comedic 'tinge' they give to the zombies.

There is quite a bit of adult humor, most of which breezes right over the heads of children and this humor isn't repetitive and is very funny when it is used. Every minute of this film is very entertaining and there was not one dull moment throughout, The characters are relate-able, funny, written well and play off each other very well. Paranorman is a supernatural adventure that is truly a masterpiece of animation and is a definite watch for the whole family, young and old.

What was that
1 May 2013
Wow. This movie really didn't capture anything that was special from the first iron man. The gritty-comedic tone set the bar pretty high from the get go, then iron man 2 was released and it was a disappointment.

Iron Man 3 however, was even worse then the second one. 6 extremely bad issues with the film:

1.) Comedy If i wanted to see a comedy, i would have seen a different movie. NOT IRON MAN 3! This movie is nothing more then snippy one liners and referrals to the avengers (which are funny at first granted, but get extremely repetitive?). 2.) The suit/s. This not a spoiler so yes. In the trailer you see Gwyneth Paltrow in the suit. Firstly, what is the point of Tony stark if his butler can use the suit, let alone Rhodey who pilots his own suit. Very silly. 3.) The portrayal of the Mandarin. If you've read the comics (like me) the mandarin uses rings to control three space alien dragons and has utmost powers. (In the film this unrealistic measure has been toned down a lot)Though to the point of where one of iron man's toughest villains has been disgraced. see the movie and you will understand where i'm coming from. 4.) Plot holes. To give nothing Away, the consistency of plot holes is unbearable, and so easily pick up!5.) That Disney feel to it. This movie is like a family comedy, if you want to take your kids to a family action movie (yet there is little action in this one) take them to this one. 6.) Unnecessary characters. In this movie there is a child, okay, BUT HE IS ONE OF THE CENTRAL CHARACTERS THAT THE MOVIE FOCUSES ON! Disney what have you done to iron man.

So in reality don't see this movie unless you want to see what I'm talking about 4/10

Overrated, not so great anime
11 December 2012
I had heard raving reviews for this show calling it a 'masterpiece' a 'new beginning to anime' and as I'm a fan of anime, i thought i would go into this show with an open mind, and to not judge too quick. After the first 15 or so episodes, i was impressed.

As a long time fan of Death note, i've always found animes such a Avatar the last air bender to be childish and lame. And thats exactly what i got. This show is nothing more than a kids show with boring characters, boring story and a confusing yet interesting background. This show wasn't that bad its just not for people who think every anime is timeless.

Project X (2012)

A disgrace to be called a movie
3 October 2012
This movie can hardly be called a movie, it is pretty much just a one and a half hour long advertisement or music video. I would firstly like to say, that movie had a cool party in it. But there was no plot, no characters that we actually gave a sh$t about and their was no complication or resolution. Just a film with an awful soundtrack of boring dub-step and Kid Cudi the whole way through.

Project X is about a group of dorky, nerdy friends whose parents go away and they plan to have a massive party with only a few people. Then word gets out that they are having a party then the whole town of teens show up then craziness ensues.

If your looking for a coming of age comedy, watch super bad or American pie. If you want to listen to cool music, buy an album, not a movie. This movie is nothing more then a music video 2/10 for a cool part which the film centers around, but nothing for it to go on.

Jack and Jill (I) (2011)

Ha ha What a piece of.....
23 September 2012
I've heard people say this movie is a funny Sandler comedy, and i actually punch them in the face. Since grown ups, Adam Sandler's comedies and just becoming worse and worse. I guy can be funny like Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison. But Jack and Jill is just a stain on what is comedy. The film try's to be something more than it is creating awkward and very stupid situations throughout the film. Al Pacino stars as himself and some of the parts he is in made me smile, and that was about it. But the movie is just unfunny, providing lame jokes, slapstick comedy which only really works if used properly. If i was you, i will completely avoid this one. I walked out of the cinema and vomited in the trash outside and it still was not as disgustingly painful as having to watch this absolute garbage.

If Adam Sandler doesn't come up with something, i will just give up on him forever.
