Equals (2015)
It is exactly what you expect to see
Well, the movie has missed the opportunity to deliver something new and original. The subject is quite interesting and I believe there were quite a few opportunities to grow the storyline but it stops shorts. No innovative cinema, no innovative frame composition, no set design to speak of, nothing really innovative except for that ubiquitous high-key look. Why was that movie made? What the authors wanted to tell us?
Kirsten Stewart is at her best in this movie. She's perfect for that role. Her face can't reflect any emotions exactly as needed. Even her haircut and wardrobe displays more emotions than her face. I think this line of movies is her holy grail.
Nic Hoult is the only reason to go see that movie. He plays well. He's not the most awesome/talented young actor out there but he's the perfect fit for that role and I command casting on this.
The word "disappointment" is a perfect description for that movie. There were so many opportunities missed that it's just staggering. Sad!
Galavant (2015)
Well...
Well, Joshua Sasse is hot. And he's not afraid to show it. So this is what's good about this show.
Now, everything else is indeed, awful. Storyline is boring. Nothing much happened in the first two episodes. Pace is very slow and it looks like script writers didn't have much of ideas about what to put in the show.
Costume design is boring. Scenery is horrible. Cinematography is boring. Castle building is somewhat nice, though. They sing too much and their songs are boring and mean.
Overall, it's very sad to see so much money wasted on what could've been a really good production. Better luck next time, ABC!
