The best book I'd read in many years so was looking forward to this. However like the Crawdads movie it doesn't transfer to the screen at all well. I don't know who's to blame. Casting director ? Screenwriter ?
The biggest let down for me is that the leads in particular Riley as Daisy have no magnetism about them at all. She just comes across as a brat. And in the book her character is almost mythical.
It's such a huge missed opportunity that this could have been a great series.
The Sets are great and the original music is decent. Suki Waterhouse is a plus in there as well.
But overall disappointing.
