Brighton Rock (2010)
Brighton rock review
5 September 2011
I decided to watch Brighton Rock after I had heard good things about it and I thought it would be interesting to watch. It seemed different to other films and in a genre of it's own. It was not a bad film but at the same time it wasn't the best,I would say stick to the novel and original. The start was very slow. Helen Mirren and Sam Riley gave amazing performances and owned the film, while Andrea Riseborough gave a great performance as the annoying and needy Rose. The performances and cast make up for the lack of excitement. There are a few twist within and some action scenes that make the film that bit more interesting. It's a rememberable film but I wouldn't plan on watching it again.

The final final destination?
17 August 2011
I am familiar with the previous Final Destination films and I guess I could be classed as a fan. When I heard about there being a fifth film I knew I would go and see it but I had my doubts whether they have gone too far making a fifth film especially as the previous film had been title THE Final Destination. To be honest I think my doubts were right I feel that have took the franchies too far and it may have just been continued for financial gain, unlike the original which brought something new to horror films. Yes they do come up with different story lines but it all seems too familiar and boring. When watching this film teamed with a sense of deja vu was a feeling of what could have been. I believe when they chose to make a fifth film they could have created something so much better than what I saw. To me they have joined other franchises which I believe have gone too far and I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to make at least yet another film. Final Destination five was predictable, not at all gripping with a poor choice of cast.

Beastly review - Sweet and enjoyable
4 August 2011
I was intrigued when I first heard about Beastly, I thought it sounded like a smart idea that would bring something new to romance. It takes a lot for a film be unique these days but it sounded like it could be a twist on your usual vampire and cheesy films that currently rule the genre. When I watched the trailer it intrigued me more to see the film. Im not usually a fan of romance films and there are only a handful of romantic films I enjoy but I was looking forward to seeing it. When I watched the film I wasn't disappointed. Beastly was sweet and heartwarming and didn't make you want to grab the sick bucket like usual cheesy teen films. I believe it can be enjoyed by a wide audience if they don't try and think to deep into it and analyse every single scene. The cast made the film a better standard sucha as Vanessa Hudgens did what she does best by playing the girl next door character. Alex Pettyfer played the lead role perfectly making any female viewers fall in love with him, while Neil Pattrick Harris was the icing on the cake. It's no Oscar winner but its a film that you can sit back and relax watching.
