Shadow of Doubt (2016)
Shadow of Doubt: New True Crime drama with real acting
I enjoy watching recreation shows but it is good to see that these type of shows are beginning to script their episodes with actual actor dialog instead of simply recording the narration over the non-dialog acting. Having the actors actually act and 'be' the characters with their own dialog allows the show to be more true to life with better performances. Hope that there are more shows of this kind in the 'true crime' TV space.
In this specific episode, leading off the new series, we have the tragic (and unfortunately, all too common) story of teenage angst, small town life, drugs and alcohol, and sex coming together with disastrous results.
The acting was well done from the kids to the officers investigating the crime. The only real question, is who you believe (I'm not going to spoil what but watch and you'll understand)
Enjoyable show:)
Shocking Family Secrets (2012)
great show that delves into various secrets from regular people's past.
Some heartwarming, some shocking, some disturbing....these stories of the secrets of regular everyday people is a fun watch.
The episode that I like the best is "heart chords".
It has a nice variety of the different types of secrets that so many regular families have.
I like that the stories don't merely go for the 'shocking' but they have a wide variety of behind closed doors type of stories that are more commonplace than people think.
While the series is rather short; only six episodes; as each episode has multiple stories in it, you did to see a wide variety of different secrets...more bang for your watching buck.
It is a nice fun watch:)
