Cosmic Sin (2021)
What a confusing, badly made movie
While watching it, it felt like a fan film. But fan films on YouTube are so much higher quality in terms if costumes, dialogue etc these days. That's how bad this movie is.
I would compare it to some of the first internet fan films a while back. But worse
The armor was painfully obvious foam and you can tell they didn't try with the back armor at all..it looked like a Walmart Halloween costume made of that flimsy plastic.
The acting is some of the worse I've seen. The harmonica. Jesus.....who thought it was a good idea to put a badly played harmonica with the background music?
The biggest question of them all.....is Bruce Willis ok???? What was he thinking?
Crimes of the Century (2013)
The Vocal Edits killed the quality of this series.
If these shows teaches us anything it isn't about criminals, evil masterminds, or col blooded killers. It teaches us about the importance of hiring a knowledgeable, experienced, and talented sound and vocal editor.
Interviewees were not taken seriously as their comments were spliced and diced to the point where their vocals were pushed through a gimmicky "phoneline" filter to give a "creepy vibe."
It failed spectacularly. Every four minutes or so, the gimmicky filter kicked in....in mid sentences, at the last couple of words at the end of sentences....basically anywhere and everywhere. The only time when you knew the filter would not be applied was whenever the main narrator was talking.
The vocal editing sounded like they hired the producer's 11 year old kick to take control of the sound board.
It's not worth watching. None of them are. They ruined every episode with the same gimmick. It is so thick with it, you lose focus of the actual story
1st Summoning (2018)
They let anyone make movies these days
This movie was pretty bad. Most movies that are bad, I just turn it off at the end and never give it a second thought.
This movie is so bad I took the time to make a review of it.
First of call, I know people think "don't ever grade a movie a 1 or a 10...otherwise folks will not take you seriously."
This movie rightfully earns a 1.
Everything from the earring hitting the camera throughout the entire movie making a clickity clack sound to the poor cinematography and the god awful writing deserves a 1 rating.
The actors weren't too bad. They did act ok. I give that a 4/10. It was the writing that made them look bad. I think this screenplay (if there was a screenplay at all) was written overnight.
It's your typical found footage plot (they're all the same). Three kids want to make a documentary. They interview weird people. It's Blair Witch 2.0. The plot progression was exactly the same from the beginning to the end of the interviews.
There was ZERO character development. You had virtually no attachment to the characters whatsoever.
Whoever directed this movie. Whoever produced and whoever written this movie: please just stop making movies.
Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2017)
What the hell did I just watch???
This is the type of movie that would make Romero roll in his grave.
Dear god, the acting was horrid. The scenery was high schoolish, the script felt like a group of 7th grade drama students watched it after binging all six seasons of "Saved by the Bell" (no offense 7th graders)
So much of this didn't make sense.
Why the hell would a zombie smear blood on the inside of a windshield? Because it looked cool?
How the hell did the doctor instructor become a damn zombie?? Did her cosmopolitan drink turn her into a Zombie?
So people explode when they get bitten now?
Zombies now wear the large intestines as necklaces now?
So the US military wears circa 1983 military fatigues?
Was the set filmed at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida?
I cannot state how bad this movie is.
At least "The Room" made an effort at trying to be good.
The Open House (2018)
This was pretty bad...unheard of for a Netflix Original
Being a Netflix original, I really thought this was going to be an incredible roller coaster ride of a movie.
It turned out to be a tea cup children ride...those kind of rides that are so old, so boring, and so predictable.
Forty Five minutes into the movie, I wanted it to be over. There were no real character development. Supporting characters were haphazardly thrown about as movie filler and the protagonists had no sense of believable dialogue.
Also, I understand most directors like to have the typical naked lady shower scene but the movie was about a mother and her son and the mending of their relationship. You really didn't have to have a nude shot...twice in this movie.
Furthering on the plot of a mother and son movie and the mending of their relationship; this movie did not take that direction at all. It's as if the writer (who is also the director) completely forgot about the first 33% of the movie's premise.
All in all, it really felt like this was a undergraduate film that was directed by a couple of brothers who wanted to fit every cliche moment into a movie that involved their rich parents' home
Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
Worse Transformers yet...it just gets worse
I don't even know where to start with this mess.
Humour: It was dry, immature, and not funny at all. It was that awkward feeling where you feel you *should* laugh but the jokes did not deliver at all. The jokes were thrown in everywhere but they were the kind of jokes your distant uncle would say to try to sound cool.
Writing: Sub par. There virtually was no concrete writing in this. It was just a two and a half hour empty action film with vehicle product placement and Budweiser placement. It felt like they hired a high school writing club to write this script. The only part where they even describe the premise of the movie was one 15 minute part out of 2 and a half hours.
I mean...i just can't. I'm too tired. It was an ordeal to even watch this.
Just, please....no more Transformers movie...please stop
