Waste of Talent, waste of Time.

Here some tips to not waste your time :
-If you want real, intense modern military action, watch Black Hawk Down.
-If you want real soldier psychology and personality disorder, watch The Hurt Locker.
...and for Gods sakes, if you want a bad sandstorm scene, watch M:i 4 !!!
Enough said.
(4/10 and that's 2 for Brad Cooper, 2 for Clint Eastwood, out of respect)

Okay...My opinion is that M Night S. is not the right guy for this kinda movie,regardless of whether or not this project came from his heart. Actually this movie could have been epic,if been handled by the right hands. Don't get me wrong, i have no hate for this movie, neither for the director...I'm even a fan of him, truly, and i was always waiting for each of his last movies with high expectations, but this film was like spikes on the road! The story is tremendous, so are the characters, but on the screen there was unfortunately no spirit, no soul..! The acting is bad, so is the casting for some characters, like Dev Patel (Prince Zuko), who is clearly not THE guy for this role. the CGIs are average (not to say cheap), despite such a budget. The screenplay is lacking sometimes, and the intensity that some moments should acquire never comes as it should, letting the involved viewer frustrated and disappointed...the fighting scenes are poorly choreographed, there is nothing impressive, nothing new...the score is okay, the volume levels well mastered thru the whole movie. If all these details would have been better handled by another director, this movie would certainly not have received that much bad ratings and critics, i'll bet on that! Anyway, being a pretty creative person, i don't have that much hate for this movie, but compassion, and every time when the director missed the point i just created it myself in my mind, i tried to remain open mind, to involve myself in the action, to put some dimension into the story, so that at the end this looked okay to me...but its not normal to have to do this, if the movie was good enough this would not have been necessary.

...but Boredom was certainly not one of'em..!!
Never, at any moment of this tremendous movie, you get bored or distracted, and this precisely defines a very good movie.
Anyway, not only is this a very good movie -well directed and greatly screened by involved and credible actors- but this is a great part of a franchise which was all but not wasted or sloppy, like a lot of other sequel/prequels. In one word it's a Masterpiece !
From the very first minute of the film until the last one, it doesn't waste time unnecessarily, it keeps you in suspense, makes you stay focused, feel anger, sadness, pity or excitation...The key scene where we can -finally- assist to the first "No" from an Ape, marking the beginning of the rebellion leaded by Caesar, literally gave me goose bumps...This is just epic !!
The way they put all the things from the original storyline together is smart, well handled. Definitely one of the Best "Planet of the Apes", and major part of the whole concept.

okay, I'll not beat around the bush here...
I am currently working on my laptop and this movie was just played on TV in the background. of course I saw the "moose" scene, which seemed to be a highlight of this movie. I directly zapped after this moment.
Let me tell you that this... "highlight" was actually pretty bad, the fun level was low, the CGI's were so cheap...it was just AWFUL !! Don't buy, rent or even watch this movie if you don't wanna be disgusted like me.
Just see the other reviews to understand what's going on here...I had even to cheat with the empty lines on this review to be approved, so I have nothing more to say about this crap.

Interesting but Cheap

Okay I'll make it short : this show has good potential, could have been a major TV Success, but as it starts with the main theme, you immediately know what's up....some cheap synthetic piano track, with no mood and no spirit, that compared to this even Charlie Harper's jingles sound better...! PLUS, how the hell can you be as arrogant as the Gibbs character..?! I mean, who the hell does he think he is, some kinda God or something ? by hitting his employees behind the head and directing orders the way he does...The guy pisses off after 10minutes of watching, THIS IS NOT FUNNY ! I wouldn't even show this series to my kid, being afraid he'd have a wrong opinion of respect and human behavior...
