Split (2016)
Excellent creepy thriller!
I really don't get all the bad reviews for this excellent movie? This is in my opinion, one of the best performed thrillers for the last years. James McAvoy's performance is alone worth the time for this one.
I don't know what the people giving this film bad reviews were expecting, maybe a flawless documentary about multiple identity disorder? No it isn't about that, it is more of a classic thriller/horror/supernatural movie mix, with a few holes in the plot, but hey, who really knows how three female teenagers would act in real life, in a situation like this?
Bloodline (2015)
Netflix knockout, top league winner in series!
It's probably all about taste, and this series gave it all for my taste! The slow pace story telling together with the superb cinematography was top notch! I watched the series on my new LG 4K UHD TV, and the footage was really breathtaking.
The acting from the hole cast in the series was truly the best you can get, every character is so well developed and believable. Loved it! I also felt the connection with True Detective Season 1, and Breaking Bad, like other reviewers, when watching Bloodline, the series almost felt like Dallas on steroids for the 20th century public ;-)
The screen writing and directing is also top notch, I could't find any kind of holes in the story or in the character development over the 2 seasons, so soft and smooth transitions between scenes and characters!
Please give me season 3 NOW!!!
Bunny (2014)
Disturbing good
I just watched the movie. OMG what a disturbing good piece of craftsmanship! This movie is the whole package, from the very original script with small, cleaver things planted nicely for us in the audience to discover on the way, superb acting with tense dialog, nice moody crystal clear footage, the score and sound is pro quality, the editing and the production design world class.
The movie is mostly crowd funded, and made on very tight budget, as I've been told, and that makes the achievement even bigger!
Adam, and the rest of the staff behind this movie should hit the big cinema screens soon, with the talent proved by this movie! Just my humble amateurish review of a great film!
