When you have actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in a movie, it is bound to be a wonderful saga. And Piku doesn't disappoint. Kudos to Shoojit Sircar for a wonderful journey of motion relating to the emotion.
The film progresses with Deepika playing the character of Piku and her father Amitabh Bachchan playing as Bhaskor Banerjee who essays the portrayal of a constipation patient with ease. Piku is in middle of a hectic life with the tension of job, marriage and an ailing father surmounting her worries.
It is when Bhaskor demands a trip to Kolkata, his home town that they are accompanied by Irrfan(owner cum driver of the travel company). The journey to Kolkata from Delhi itself teaches you a lot on relationships, love and respect.
As they arrive in Kolkata, Bhaskor explores the world in his bicycle and has a happy end along with his motion.
The characters are well suited and apt to the role. Along with these three, characters including that of Mausima Chaterjee are funny and give you a smiling face every time.
All in all Piku is a FEEL GOOD movie where you start with a smile and end the same way. 2015 wasn't a good year for Hindi Movie Industry but Piku has given a platform for good movies to come. All hail Shoojit Sircar and the cast!!!!!!
