Midnight in the Switchgrass (2021)
Highly under rated
For the type of movie it is I'd say this is okay. I'm giving it a 10 just to bring up the much undeserved low rating. I'd give it at least a 6 but must say it does drag on a bit and I wouldn't watch it again. They really didn't make proper use of Bruce Willis in the movie. It would have been better to just have her die strung up as she was as opposed to the silly hospital scene at the end. Hirch running around in a field with no real save the day moment really made no sense. So I'd say it was poorly directed. It's a shame really as this movie had much better possibilities of being a much better movie than it turned out to be.
Killer Joe (2011)
Disturbing
One major goof was Chris being allowed to place a bet of a grand after the race had started. I got the feeling that much of this movie strayed from the book and ended up on the editing room floor. Joe & Digger both would have forced Rex to cash the cheque and pay them so the ending is pure nonsense. It's really to bad because if it was done properly the movie could have been very good for the fans it was meant for. I would probably guess this was very poorly written by the screenwriter that had no real investment in the common sense of making something of acceptable quality. Basically they took a movie with a decent cast and turned it into garbage.
Slow Horses (2022)
Would be better without the PC nonsense.
Of course they have to include some PC crap along with everything they do. Little things like putting women in the power positions and subordinating men. Referring to a Muslim Indian as an Asian is also a bit silly. When people think of Asian's, East Indian Muslims do not come to mind. With that said, the series is okay so far. Although, I did find myself having to rewatch the first 2 a couple of times to get a better scope on who the characters all are. I suggest using subs at same time to better understand the UK lingo.
Gary Coleman is bit overboard as usual and plays the role of a slob which is a bit humorous but unnecessary. If you don't like spy show's then pass on it.
Body of Proof (2011)
Crap
It's such a shame when such a talented actress wastes her craft and special ability in this manner. Other than a couple of laughs this series is one for the garbage dump.
It unfortunately went down the same path of so much of the garbage that is coming out of Hollywood with this insane Liberal ideology of putting race and gender in place of reality. The writers, producers and directors & the studio should be ashamed of themselves for creating such nonsense.
This show had some real possibilities of going down the path that Columbo did but it failed miserably. Don't waste your time watching it as you will come away very disappointed.
Madtown (2016)
Very well done
This is by far one of the best movies I've seen in quite some time. It leaves you wanting more. It's extremely under rated. Don't trust the nay sayers and judge for yourself.

Between Worlds (2018)
Surprised
I was expecting another garbage movie from Cage here but instead the movie was quite entertaining. If you can tap into your imagination long enough to understand that this is not supposed to be some sort of blockbuster hit. Instead it is one of the better Sci-fi Thriller movies I have seen in a long time. It's definitely under-rated and deserves better. Will I watch it again? Probably not, but it was well worth watching once. All the actors did a fine job but I would say that I would like to see the actual directors cut as I'm sure much of the movie probably got left on the cutting room floor in order to shorten it up.
Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives! (1989)
HORRIBLE CASH GRAB
Sorry to say this movie was a big let down. With only the Eddie & Sal characters being part of the story it really was a waste of time.
Just another fine example of Hollywood taking advantage of the fans. Anyone that actually thought this was good is a moron and should stay as far away as possible from making movie reviews. The movie didn't require a sequel anyway. There's no resolve for anyone that was actually a fan of the first one so it really defeated the point. The Word Man was an integral part of the story in the first one as he ended up with Eddie's girl. The romance in this one was just dumb. Rocky going iceskating with Adrian comes to mind with the stupid rollerskating scene. Who ever directed this crap should go hide under a rock somewhere...Does this review contain spoilers? NO beceaus it couldn't get much worse.
Deep Water (2022)
Acceptable for a Low Budget Thriller
This movie was very well done as it touches on all the darkness that comes with being in a relationship filled with condoned infidelity. Very well acted as you come away confused about how to really feel about all the characters.
I would have went with a little more nudity, seeing as they already crossed the line on that front. It would have added to the movie so it would have been acceptable considering the subject matter of the film.
I have a funny feeling that this is exactly how some of these Hollyweird relationships end up. J. D & A. H. come to mind as do B. A. & J. LO or so many others that hook up with Nicole Kidmann or Angelina Jolie or Natalie Wood. Lot's of untapped or buried emotions are just part of that lifestyle. I would went with more fast paced L. A. lifestyle for this one though.
Not recommended for the prudish that can't handle this particular issue.
All the Money in the World (2017)
Slanderous garbage
Don't waste your time on this nonsense movie. I'm sure Getty would sue their butts off and win if he was alive today. I'm actually surprised these actors would take part in such a trash filled project. The more interesting story would be about WHY these people have so much hate for the man. A woman scorned would be my guess. This attempt to trash the man failed miserably. I don't doubt that Getty used every loophole in the book to protect his money but I highly doubt he was anything like they depicted in this crap movie which starts with a disclaimer admitting it is only based on the truth and not the actual truth. If it is true, then he didn't have access to 17 million dollars in the first place as all the money was held up in Trust and not really his. I call BS on the whole story.
The Man from Earth (2007)
As believable as the Bible
I found the movie to be thought provoking and very suitable for those that have fallen for the religious narrative we have been fed our whole lives. I wouldn't waste my time on it unless you have 2 hours to kill and like story's about Jesus. Rich Man, Poor Man (1976)
Highly overrated
It was nothing to write home about but enjoyable seeing all the old actors of the day. One gets the sense that it was very much rushed and poorly written in order to fit it into a one year series. I would ended it with the Jordache Father being alive and sitting in a bar having a drink. The Susan Blakely part of Julie was very unrealistic and went to the silly place of alcoholism and her feeling sorry for herself as opposed to where it should have which would have been the role of loyal wife and supporter of her husband Rudy. Julie's indiscretion of sleeping with Mr. Brady would have been exposed by Tom regardless which they chose to ignore completely instead. I can only assume that Talia Shire opted out of the series early so that series of events with the son was also poorly done. I also would have made Roy a villain hitman on the boat as opposed to the victim of race hatred. So many things were possible with this show. I came away disappointed in the end.
My So-Called Life (1994)
Highschool teenage girls only
This show is labelled a Cult Classic but is far from that. It is basically a teenage highschool drama that lasted 19 shows and is worth watching if you like that sort of thing. Fortunately they didn't go overboard with the LGBTQ narrative as they do so often today so it was tolerable in this instance. Claire Danes does a good job as an adolecent teenage girl struggling with making it through highschool with all the peer pressure and relationship issues that come with it. It was a bit silly, but for the most part it was entertaining and worth the watch. I can't put my finger on it but something with regards to the student/teacher relationships was missing though.
