The Closet to War you will Ever get!!!!
20 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The CLOSEST you can get to War in Afghanistan with out going! This is NO Hollywood Movie! The Fighting Season is as unique as it is powerful. We've all seen war docs by now, some good and some flat. What all those others have in common is a small, very limited perspective on what those soldiers experience. The Fighting Season is EPIC. We see the war in Adghanistan from varied and different perspective, all of them compelling and unique to those soldiers whose missions we follow. From Col Graham whose embedded within the Capital City Kabul's Para-Military Police force, Cops With RPG's, to hunting a Terrorist named Artic Fox with Task Force White Devil from the storied 82nd Airborne Division, to Following the Afghan Army on a search and Destroy Mission in Afghanistans deadliest Valley, The Tangi Valley. And the Wickedest Fire Fight I've ever seen as a young platoon runs low on Ammunitikn as the Taliban closes in on them. The viewer is immersed into what the Afghanistan War looks, tastes and feels like. The upcoming episode that takes the viewers into the Drone War, yes you heard me right, Drones are called in to follow Taliban fighters on motorcycles thru the deserts and eliminate them. This is REAL...RAW and is as Entertaining as anything I've ever seen! The ULTIMATE look at the men who fight and HOW they fight Americas War in Afghanistan

Starting Strong (2013– )
An entertaining and informative Program that shows you what sort of Jobs the Army has to offer.
20 April 2013
Starting Strong is an entertaining and informative TV Program that teaches the viewer about Americas Army. The premise is a civilian gets to experience an MOS or Military Occupational Specialty for a week then see how the skills they are taught can translate to a civilian career if they decide not to pursue a 20 year career. The episodes include wheeled vehicle mechanic, medic, cook, forward observer, sapper, infantryman, military police etc. The program is a refreshing look at how professional and organized the Army is. The enthusiasm of the soldiers involved in Americas all volunteer Army is obvious. These are highly trained, productive and valuable people who perform missions. Its kinda like Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, but Army Jobs! If I was eligible to join the Army I would find the program extremely interesting as it gives a behind the scenes look into Army culture and life before you commit. Ricky Schroder Productions has produced an amazing project.

Our Wild Hearts (2013 TV Movie)
A Girls Heart, A Tough Cowboy & The Wild Mustang that brought them together.
14 April 2013
A really enjoyable Family movie. The 2nd highest rated Hallmark movie channel movie ever. Cambrie Schroder breakout debut role. She delivers a solid performance and carries the film with her wonderful charisma. Thefilm was written and Directed by her Father Ricky who plays Jack Thomas, a cowboy on the edge of losing his ranch. Nice supporting roles are played by Angela Linvall, Eloise De Joria, Martin Kove, Cliff Pots and Chris Massagolia. The cinematography was beautiful, as is all the work of Steve Gainer, who also had a producing credit on the film. Andrea Schroder co-write and Executive Produced. A sequel is already in the development process based on the huge success of the original title "Our Wild Hearts.

Hellhounds (2009 TV Movie)
A new 'Sinbad' vibe! A Greek Warrior must rescue his Virgin Bride from the evil God Hades.
5 February 2010
Warning: Spoilers
The Sinbad movies we're cutting edge in the 70's and this movie Hell Hounds has definite similarities to those films. The movie was made in Romania in 15 days with a budget of two million. when you take that into account, it's a wonderful accomplishment. The story is solid and the special effects are good enough to tell the tale. Some of the fights are extremely well choreographed and exciting. the cast does a good job and production values are 1st class. Ricky Schroder's second film shows a lot of growth and has a strong sense of pacing and action. The music was well done and not distracting. The Romanian country side where it was filmed is beautiful and haunting. The one sequence where they cross"The River Styx" looks like a Tim Burton sequence, on a smaller budget of course. All in all I give the movie an 8 out of ten. Its the best SyFy movie in awhile.

Very entertaining and full of fun.

You never know what to expect from a title like this one.

I found the movie to be entertaining and acting very good.

Ricky Schroder does an admirable job with a script that needed some more development. I liked seeing him as an action hero and explorer. The special effects were quite well done. A family movie that the whole gang can enjoy. Peter Fonda is fun as an explorer who becomes a "God" within the earth. The story has nice plot points and satisfies its intended audience. The supporting cast does an all around good job. Scenery was beautiful and production values quite high. I think the wardrobe was quite well conceived and the props looked good as well. I give it a strong 7.

The Champ (1979)
The Champ is one of the Greatest Films ever
2 April 2005
The Champ is the most beautiful Father & Son story I have ever seen. The films emotional ending will go down in history as the saddest scene ever on film. Rick Schroder is amazing. A must see!!! Jon Voight is extremely convincing as a retired prize fighter. He also looks like Rick Schroders Father. Faye Dunaway come s off well. The director Zeffereli is a amazing story teller. You may have scene his Mac Beth with Mel Gibson. Rent this when you want to really feel some strong emotion. Rick Schroder was cast to stardom from it. It might just make you call your father and say I love you. More films need to made like this. It seems Hollywood is interested in special effects movies and they have forgotten the heart. On a separate note, Rick Schroder just made his own boxing film called "Black Cloud"it is also amazing and has tons of heart, The boxing scenes in Schroders film are the best I have ever seen. The same boxing coach from the champ worked on Schroders BLACK CLOUD. DVD comes out June 7th for Black Cloud.

Black Cloud (2004)
I just saw Black Cloud at the Boston Film Fest and I was totally impressed.
17 September 2004
This movie is definitely worth seeing. It is a very interesting mix of "Rocky" meets a "Western". A friend of mine saw the film in Montana last week and told me the crowd was blown away as well. I heard they made it for a million bucks. WOW. Tim McGraw is very good as the sheriff. Rick Schroder has ton's of talent as a writer and a big future directing. He was just nominated for a CMA award for best country music video. The girl is hot in the movie. I give it a big thumbs up. Peter Greene is the best I have ever seen him. He was the guy in the mask. Wayne Knight plays a creepy part as a pervert and is totally believable. The cinematography is incredible and the boxing scenes the most realistic I have ever seen.
