The Mitchells vs the Machines (2021)
It's a kid movie and the kids LOVE it.
I gave this a 9 because some of the cut scenes with her doodles get annoying but my 10 year old LOVES this movie. I watched it with my boys 12, 10, 5 and 6 they loved it. It wasn't bad on a parent POV either. Yes there was cheesy lines and it was predictable but from the eyes of a kid it was relatable, colorful and funny. Talking about the pug lol. If you're a parent you will enjoy a movie that captures your kids attention and gives them some good laughs. There is some parent relatable stuff too. Family movie night winner.
The Midnight Man (2016)
Great movie, decent scares, great acting
I love all scary movies and I really enjoyed this one. I liked the style, the cinematography was spot on. It was creepy especially Lin Shye! Its not the scariest but its decent enough to enjoy. Good on a Friday night with your favorite snacks looking for a thriller.
The Lucky One (2012)
Not the same
I know not all books that turn into a movie are exactly like the book but this didn't even really follow the story. It didn't show much from the book at all and that was really disappointing.
I mean the movie was still really sweet and I did enjoy it but if you read the book you probably share the same disappointment of a lot of things that made it really a great story. So I guess what I am getting at is the movie left out the good storytelling. Everything in the movie happened too fast and just got thrown together.
As for the characters they all fit perfect, I just really wish it would have followed the story line of the book.
