Mil Colmillos (2021)
But for ending 😡..I loved it..
I loved the narrative I loved the tribal cult like aspects of this I love the jungle setting I loved the slowly being revealed bits and pieces the more you watch.. but the end is very disappointing... Could have been a nine star for me if it had a better ending...
The Outsider (2020)
Frustrating
I really liked alot about this series..it was a unique story..kept me interested episode to episode..it is very slow but builds the story up.. however the ending left me disappointed..after all this story building I expected something more to wrap it up..
Yellowjackets (2021)
Keeps you hooked
I will echo with another reviewer said here.. it keeps stringing you long.. it's definitely interesting and you keep watching to see what happens next..but there are a lot of major plot points that have been dropped here and there without a lot of details about where those bits are taking you as the viewer..I will say the haunting background music/vocal chants etc. Are really unique to this series and set a great atmosphere..I'll be looking forward to Season 2..
The Terror (2018)
Beautifully shot..great acting
SEASON 1.. wonderful production.. beautiful and harsh all at the same time.. if you like period pieces things like that I absolutely recommend season 1..
Goliath (2016)
Solid series
I do like BBT..he was great in this series..Nina Arianda was cast perfectly opposite him..really enjoyed her character.. definitely recommend this series..
Kin Dread (2021)
Waste of 90 minutes
Did I watch the same movie that other people on here did ?
This was a waste of time.. no mind blowing twist.. just ridiculous plot points that all feel like they have been done before..
Skip it !
Prey (2021)
Just awful
I want my 90 minutes back...plot ? Character sketch ? Resolution ? Just awful...
Brand New Cherry Flavor (2021)
Great until the ending
I really want to give this a higher rating cuz it had very intriguing twisty plot... But it took me all the way up to the end and then just pushed me off a cliff the ending was the definition of anticlimactic..
Things Heard & Seen (2021)
So much wasted potential
Nicely filmed is about all I can say positively about this one...
There was a lot of parts of this storyline that could have been really built upon leading up to a good conclusion..
But the ending makes very little sense and just seems out of place with the whole movie..
Spend your 2 hours elsewhere 😕
The Killing (2011)
Above all others
Fantastic police homicide-detectove crime drama...dark and hits to the bone..top notch acting.. cinematography along with storylines creates a sense of bleakness (it is taking place in Seattle after all)..hard to top this one IMO..give it a shot..4 seasons and wraps up beautifully 👍
The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2018)
Beautiful movie
Story way beyond Hitler and bigfoot...a pleasure to watch...
Behind Her Eyes (2021)
You'll never see it coming
Definitely a slow burn...well acted...well shot...great final payoff...
Ava (2020)
Seen it all before...
Watching this movie felt like I'd seen it in 20 different other versions before... Nothing new or surprising or original about it...
Voces (2020)
Hidden Gem...Solid flick..
Really good flick out of Spain...dubbed english for Netflix...solid and scary in its own right with an ending I didn't see coming that wrapped it in a black bow of despair...highly recommend 👍
Reckoning (2019)
Just weird
Gave it a 5...kept watching for some curious reason...this series felt like it couldn't decide what course to take...
The Old Guard (2020)
Just OK
Kept waiting for it to take off...it never did...wasted potential...
Arrested Development (2003)
Comedic perfection
Great cast...so funny/dryly witty that there are those that will dislike this treasure trove of comedy...each character has their own irksome flaws that blend into a beautiful disaster known as the Bluth family...most highly recommend for those who enjoy comedy at its best.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019)
Entertaining
I tried really hard not to like this one...but I enjoyed it...yes it's a bit teenage(a bit)....yes it's far fetched....and yes the multiple "moneyshots" at the end were over the top...but it kept moving...the scares weren't unexpected but they WERE scary...was an enjoyable watch.
Ripper Street (2012)
Late 1800's Britain gritty crime drama
I love period pieces and this one is nicely done. I'm American but enjoy British crime dramas. Title of "Ripper Street" is a bit misleading. The Ripper murders...the hunt for the Ripper...is mildly interwoven but takes a very rear stage. That's a good thing as such a focused series would lose steam as it drags on. This series...focuses on different crimes/murders in each episode. Houses of ill repute..opium use in line with the late 1800's...illnesses and diseases of the late 19th century are all brought into play. Lots of factual historical figures, events, and companies are woven throughout. If you like gritty period pieces...and/or detective dramas...this series should be enjoyable for you.
Collateral (2018)
Wasted potential
I miss the days when film did not have some political agenda behind it....alas those days are gone....
Fractured (2019)
Predictable
This is the oldest trick in the movies. Please develop new plotlines ugh.....
Hinterland (2013)
Twisty turny
I'm an American....really enjoy British crime dramas...this one was top notch...shot beautifully in Wales countryside...there is a bleakness to it and to main character Mattias as he tries to outrun his ghosts from the past...plot unfolds well with surprises along the way each time as multiple characters intertwine...highly recommend !
Midsommar (2019)
Sunshine...flowers...and beautiful terror
Beautifully shot...unfolds as expected but impossible to look away...a mix of psychedelic, bright sunshine, flowers and love...and terror. One person's normal is another's stuff of nightmares....drink the tea !
The Heretics (2017)
Cult/occult supernatural solid offering
Enjoyed this genre piece...well paced...unfolds nicely...made the most of it's (assumed) low budget...would recommend
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019)
Fantastic production
I'm sure I watched the original Dark Crystal...I honestly cannot recall much of it...if you're a fantasy/sci-fi genre afficionado this is a must see IMO...great production...creature and world-scenes are so good... definitely recommend if fan of genre 👍
