Gabriel's Inferno: Part One (2020)
Seductive
Very faithful adaptation of Sylvain Reynard's Gabriel series. The leads have been perfectly cast and the script follows the novel very closely. Some of the supporting cast come across a little clunky, at times, but that doesn't distract from the chemistry between Zanetti and Berutti. Pleased to see the book come to life so vibrantly.
22 July (2018)
Very well handled
I remembered hearing about the event on the news and being shocked by it at the time, but the film gave a much deeper insight into the tragedy. I actually cried watching this portrayal of the attack on those poor children. The cast did an excellent job with the English dialogue, but I'd have been fine watching it in Norwegian with English subtitles.
Ghost Stories (2017)
Kinda freaky
I thought this was just going to be a conventional horror story, and for most of the film, it was, but the third act gets WEIRD. It had a real Tom Stoppard's feel to it and reminded me especially of "The Real Inspector Hound." Totally worth watching, just for the, 'wait, what did i just watch!?' of it
