What Keeps You Alive (2018)
More of their lesbian relationship would of made it more bearable
As you can see by the reviews whether you like it or not depends on how much you can accept the decisions and actions taken by Jules or Jackie, a lesbian couple, that most people would not do or take.
Like, for example, Jules being pushed of a cliff by Jackie and falling 30 feet breaking/dislocating her leg and arm and fingers, ruptured spleen, serious head wounds, bloody'd face and a few hours later miraculously healing, running, jumping and rowing a boat.
A miracle Jesus Christ would of been proud of.
That aside, no reviewer has mentioned the other aspects of this movie that you may or may not accept.
Such as the abundance of profanity and swearing. The tame lesbian make outs and near lack of lesbian nudity. I mean it revolves around a lesbian couple anyway. If it's going to have profanity at least give us some artist any tasteful lesbian nudity to make it bearable getting through this move.
What was depicted in this regard was woeful?
Take the scene in which Jules was naked in the bathtub having the blood washed off her by Jackie. Jules modestly crossed her arms over her breasts to cover them when the only person in the bathroom was her partner in a lesbian relationship of one year. That's why they can to the cabin in the woods to celebrate.
And the one flashback scene, shown ad-nauseum of the two making out in bed nearly fully clothed. Same one scene over and over.
All in all you can find potholes in this movie on any and all levels, themes and situations.
Santet (2018)
A decent horror movie
This horror movie is set in Indonesia and has both English and Indonesian dialogue, with subtitles where needed.
It's no better or worst than most other movies of this genre. In fact in my opinion probably a bit better than most.
The worst criticism I can give it, is that the women and girls in it wear the daggiest clothes out, even Kelly Brook.
But it will keep you entertained with the normal scares and suspense.
Within These Walls (2015)
An entertaining paranormal themed movie
I'm no movie critic expert, I just want a movie that's enjoyable to watch.
And I usually find them by checking the reviews here. If the majority here rate a movie as 1,2 or 3, I watch it and it usually turns out a good movie.
This one, "Within these Walls" is no exception.
It's well put together, sets a great atmosphere, has pychological traits and at times surreal.
The acting is actually very good, especially the chick that plays the lead role.
So guys keep on giving us the 1,2 and 3 ratings.
The Capture (2017)
Dumb movie in my opinion
Some reviewers stated it started out strong and then went downhill.
All I can add is that it started nowhere and went nowhere.
It's about as dumb as you can get.
Admittedly it's low budget. But starting out the first scene/s that looks like it's in someone's backyard garage the producers made sure it's in keeping with it's low budget look and feel.
Sorry but the movie did nothing for me. Other reviewers may be more forgiving.
