It makes no sense
12 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Bad movie, terrible acting, disgusting scenes to create some shock value.,The plot is sort of interesting. If get to the 25 or 30 minutes in and you will be truly shocked, not because of the movie itself... all the characters stop "acting". This behaviours are just random, terrible performed, out of context, no sense at all. Avoid this movie at all costs. It seems like it was edited by the baby in the last scene.,all Alf all a movie that added very disgusting scenes only with the purpose of getting a reaction, any type of reaction... in this movie"s case, the part with body fluids. Even that was terribly done. The shoot was out of the frame... And please, any comment saying it was good or great or a classic, must be jovking. The only question is, who is Nikas father??

Great series. The plot is well delivered
26 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This series wasn't a must for me. Saw a clip on fb and decided to give it a try. It got me hooked. The acting, the realism, the way to describe the shades of their culture and serve you drama that is seen in any other side of the world. It centres on the populate who decide to bully Mariam. It was a violent act that takes from one lie to another and becomes too big to handle. However, the main character switches very subtly and it shows in small details in the outside, but somehow we can see how the actress translates through the screen the evolution of you will of her feelings, more like toughness that the aggression has forced her to acquire. The mean girls are spot on. Totally cruel and self entered, but somehow they also capture the audience with her realities, at home, in their selves. We get to see their deeper sides.

The series shows us teenagers, more like young women, who make decisions according to their shortcomings at home or their desires, their hatred, their characters switch subtly and it keeps you captivated because it is a culture that comes with taboos and mystery.

This is a highly recommended series because at least it will be entertaining. For most viewers I am sure it will be more. It will leave you thinking about it for a while and that is exactly the type of productions we need nowadays, not commercial, easy sells, with no depth, little respect to the public. ASchool is thoughtful and intelligent. Recommended.

The most beautiful man on earth sort of kidnaps you and dares you to fall in love with him
7 February 2022
So, this movie was somehow compared to 50 SOG (don't remember where I read that) and I went to look for it. I didn't look for the movie because the actors were known, the director was a renowned one or because it won awards. I was there to see sexy scenes. Here, it surpassed my expectations. True that 50 SOG has sensual moments, but for me and some others I have read in comments, lacked the true passion, the messiness sex is, in real life, even in a sensual movie. For me 365 was pure sexual fantasy. Mainly for women. Most heterosexual men wouldn't feel comfortable watching that incredibly perfect man, naked, spitting in his hand before performing OS. This movie was made to be steamy and in your face. Your eyes will try to catch the details of his stunning chiselled body and her soft creamy skin. Through the screen, you will be able to smell, feel, curl and react to the deliciousness these two share. Personally, the "kidnapping" was an exaggerated fantasy. Massimo wasn't going to force her, but to tease her. He knew somehow (I imagine by studying her and following her obsessively) that Laura was into that type of game. He took it to the next level and watched it closely. She wasn't too scared, disgusted, desperate to leave because after some hours she realised slowly what it was. The most beautiful men borderline crazy about you, looked for you all over the world, took you "by (a certain amount of) force" because you are a woman who produces all this passion in him. This isn't about consent or metoo. This is about two who have to be put together to ignite the insane passion they have for each other.

Chemistry was 100, the clash between the delicate petite flawless beauty and the manliest God 100. The sex scenes, rude and amazing, irresistible. The fact that he spoiled her with all that luxury, clothes, shoes, another 100. Acting could have improved many notches. The director should have connected the scenes with much more tact and worked more in the editing. The blonde hair was terrible. But the penetrating look that man gave her and his vulnerability towards her together with his arrogance and beauty, made me believe Massimo was insanely in love with Laura.

Terrible movie.
25 January 2022
This movie is so messy, no way to follow the plot or to understand what the problem is, how to solve it... The characters not only look alike, but their acting is so monotone, boring, lacking any charisma, that it is difficult to relate to them or understand them. Such a comedic cast to achieve absolutely one laugh from the audience. And Kevin or Max, a little boy who looks like a mini adult. Just that. He has no pros or cons in his defence, how do you play a character after MC's incredible performances... this movie couldn't be a more boring one if they had made it bad on purpose.

Absolutely nothing compared like the original
9 November 2021
This movie has many flaws: the cast, the direction, the script... the flow, the engagement. The focus goes from one to another subject and it doesn't give you one interesting part of the plot to get you engaged. At all really. It is messy, bland, uninteresting, slow. The craft legacy is a production without charisma. I knew it was going to be impossible to match the craft 1996, obviously, that cast was true magic. However, there are many actresses who could have filled the shoes of their predecessors better. This movie seems like the giggly "girly", maybe even light and sugar/gluten free version of the 90s movies. It had no flavour, no intensity, no passion, no sense.

Emelie (2015)

It kept me in suspense
26 August 2021
A movie about who we leave our kids with. Sometimes parents "need" their time out and throw out the window the basic questions to and about whom we are trusting our most priced possessions.

The movie itself has a new plot, not just the crazy babysitter or nanny. The script could give much more, but it isn't terrible, just basic.

Regarding the characters, unfortunately, there is depth missing, we can't empathise with any of them, because of the lack of effort made to create a more rounded idea of the Thomsons as a family. The parents are a totally zero regarding not only acting, but mostly capturing and showing the role as parents.

The kids are almost well proposed as siblings, not much line or estructure followed by the makers in order to create the Vision of three kids who are related. Mostly just three kids who don't behave well and not much beyond that.

The babysitter is a good cast. Unfortunately, they could have worked her role in more depth to let us understand, maybe feel more captivated by the character. It was not easy to get to know her sadness, her pain or how it related to her need to manipulate the children with the different psychological games or tortures she exposes them to.

Jacob, as an actor, gives the impression of trying. Shows a maturity and methodological way to act that isn't truly explained and therefore isn't easily believed, understood.

The movie offers a newer plot, an idea that hasn't been used before. The type of horror that is too everyday", next door reality, which for me, a viewer who is a mother of two young ones, is one of the biggest fears. Emelie lacks fluidity and connection, being rounded to bring us more into the storyline. However, it is a good plot, With good actors. A type of good suspense that will keep you interested, watching, will make you think about your own part in this situation. Not perfect, won't be a classic, but it was definitely entertaining, which a good level or suspense. For what it is, this movie brings to the screen a thriller with mostly positive points.

The Odds (2018)

Thriller more than horror. Not bad at all
29 June 2021
The lead character is a woman who comes from pain abs a dark past. The storyline is that she involves in a game of gambling. The gamble is supposed to be if the participants will quit or move on the next phase, round. Apparently, each participant or player has a broker, and agent who will stay with them for whatever reason, to stay focused, to keep on going, not give up or to make sure the rules are followed. The participants (we assume there are several but see only one) are subjected to tortures that they need to endure. The acting was good, the lead was really good. She reminded me of the girl from The Hunt. Interesting movie. At least a different subject as the ones repeated so many times. I recommend it. Not an Oscar worthy movie, but quite a nice one. Entertaining.

The most annoying, head to toe weird plot
31 May 2021
So, the acting by Suvari is sad. To see an actress be directed this way, was a very low point of the movie. There were 2 or 3 scenes that could have gotten this messy sci-fi wannabe protect into at best, mediocre.

The mother's acting is childish, fake, exaggerated and then it becomes only forced, poor.

The girl's character is bland and plain. Her range is lacking absolutely any emotion or anything that could transpire from the screen and bring us to connect with her.

The lizard/parasite/anemone boyfriend is handsome. That is it. Nothing interesting in any of his scenes which required him to take the T-shirt off. I imagine the only way to "captivate" the audience was that. It worked very little... My advise, don't watch this poor acting, directing, script, special effects, makeup film.

Terrible. I feel my life was scorned after this mess
28 August 2020
Horrible soundtrack. I kept on thinking this has to be voice of the daughter of a higher powered person involved in this film. Then the acting. Weird, messy, nothing made sense. The dog was the best actor in this movie. Terrible from beginning to end (end for me was minute 20). Disgrace of performance, directing, lighting, scenes, even the tacos looked like a horrific prop. Don't watch this. Avoid. To think I paid 1.99 fir this piece of waste of life. NO. RUN. WAtch cartoons, read a menu. Anything but this ridicule.

The worst show in the history of TV.
28 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
(SORT OF SPOILER ALERT. I AM NOT SURE...) The worst about this show are the laughs. Then, Zoe tries to be funny reading or repeating jokes from a prompter or a memorized line someone evil who wrote for her to recite while looking like an unwatered talking plant. Zero charisma, zero entertainment. She turns to the gorgeous Jessica Alba, who could as well be a mannequin, an embarrassed, uncomfortable one. Her expression is so painful to watch Her facial expression was: "What dud I put myself into?". I don't know how many free outfits, how many discounts or free styling she got but being there looked worse than Brad Pitt's Chanel add. There is a gay guy who seems like he is enjoying the spotlight. And obviously, the "too cool", "too successful to get a real job", the producer, Zoe's husband. Roger's worst idea so far, this appalling, bizarre group sitting down to follow through with a broken, empty, uninspired, dull, inanimated, zombies' show. They look like hungry, locked strangers, sitting waiting to get that over with and go grab a meal... Please kill those background fake laughs. It really sounds like they are mocking laughs or guttural sounds. Very cued. What is the word for worse than terrible? It is the only one that can describe this mess.

Five women who live in Atlanta who have conflicts and fun moments. Some are friends and allies and others tend to create conflict... actually all do...
17 April 2015
Love the housewives, almost all of them. My least favorite have to be Orange County. But, these ladies are fiery and quick to answer. Nene is in Broadway now which is a huge accomplishment but like everything in her life, she has to turn it into the Nobel Price and the Oscar's had a child, and that is Nene... She acts like Forbes is knocking on her door ready to put her on top of it's lists. I don't get her extreme pride. No need to be humble about advancing in life but she really acts like Meryl Streep asks her for advice. Unfortunately, sometimes housewives become divas with no substance. Then we have Cynthia who appears to have aired all the laundry she could, reason why we know that Peter is not well financially (he is also a very cocky one). Cynthia is beautiful and funny. I think she tries to be too relevant by being mean but it seems to have something to do with keeping the income Bravo gives them.Kandi is the most talented one. She is a composer, singer, business woman. She has a mom who seems to have a contract signed with Kandi's blood because I don't understand other reason to allow a mother treat you like that. Then we have Kenya, gorgeous, over the top, smart and confident, cocky as well. But she has achieved some things in her life and is still gorgeous. Kenya had a hard life, her mom was bipolar and abandoned her, so, she has this resentment and self sabotage. Phaedra seems to have a bad year. She married an ex-con (Apollo), who really behaves so aggressive it strikes me as a serial killer (remember when he hit Jason?). Apollo is attractive, but in a fear for your life way... Like the really bad guy who will for sure be one of those mistakes in the future. That is what happened to Phaedra. She is really not a know lawyer but a really conceited one. She has the cutest boys so her marriage to Apollo was not a total loss. And Porsha, who is pretty in a how much will this cost me way... She has an amazing body which is a mystery to me. Porsha is allegedly a mistress. She totally behaves like one. She divorced a football player. Oh, Claudia is a model, about 40, pretty but I don't see her staying for the next season. I see her trying, though. She is cute and smart but to me she doesn't fit the group. I recommend watching them if you like the franchises. They are funny and there is plenty of drama.

A guy is about to get married but he has no male friends to be his groomsmen, so, he hires a fake groomsman and some very odd guys to pretend
17 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
So, I found the movie somewhat entertaining. Funny? Very little, really it was just OK. However, I have a huge problem with the dog's scenes. How in hell are we supposed to like a movie where one of the jokes at the bachelor party is that a poor doggie licks the peanut butter chunk from the groom's penis. I think that is called zoophilia. I can't understand how can we not talk about that perversion shown on TV, like it is normal, so that little pervs can just copy it and move on to a different level of sickness. It really made me think that these movies don't go through any type of filtering because, where is PETA? Or where is the basic censoring and monitoring? And one of the groom's men was a convicted rapist... who was out of jail and molests some of the women with lascivious looks as well. In the end, he kisses the flight attendant so, go figure why a rapist overstepping his boundaries and a guy tied up, blind folded, receiving oral from an innocent dog are a funny package. Aside from that, yes, it is sort of like Hitch. It did cross my mind.

Two girls, who are daughters of a famous composer act like they are celebrities but aren't
14 April 2015
OK, this show is about the daughters of a famous composer. A great one. They decided to do a show that is some sort of faux reality show and they call it documentary. Looks like they really do know a lot of celebrities because they appear on the show at all times. For me, the way the two sisters act is just annoying, because they seem to be making fun of wannabes but also of themselves, of people who drop names and the regular people who are amazed about the celebrities they do know. It is not quite like acting, but more like faking a show. To me it seems like they are making fun at all times and trying to be cute and entertaining, witty maybe, but it doesn't work very well. They are very beautiful and somewhat endearing, however overall I didn't find this show amusing or working towards a point. It is a show without sense or a foundation. Just weird to watch, but there was nothing else.

Carrie (2013)

A girl with telekinesis who is bullied by her classmates finally revenges
13 January 2014
Once you have watched the original Carrie, with the incredible Sissy Spacek and overall a cast like the original, you can't just settle with something like the 2013 version. The new version exaggerates the suspense scenes in a way that it makes it really difficult to like them. In my opinion, who ever directed Chloë Grace Moretz should have avoided at all cost the ridiculous stare that we were forced to see 3 or 4 times during the movie. The original Carrie was unique, such a perfect mix of weird and beautiful that it made her somehow real and mysterious. To me, she was captivating without having to exaggerate her facial expressions, it was all in her eyes. And her interaction with her mother was just perfection. The blurriness and sort of dreamlike of the scenarios, the music, the exactitude of the scenes made the movie as well. Chloë Grace Moretz is a pretty girl next door, average somehow. I hope she realised once she saw the finished movie that an actress has to understand the character much more and put a limit to the directing, specially when you have play a special character. Julianne Moore was great, though. She was her usual great self, however, the original mom really exuded craziness, always with a little grin, empty eyes... I don't know how they did it, but the original was perfection. Just like trying to remake "the girl with the dragon tattoo", how can you cast someone like Noomi Rapace? There are actresses who can't be replayed by others. And Carrie is one of them.

Children are recruited to change back Julio Verne's stories
13 January 2014
So confusing and didn't have a thread... it just jumped from one scene to the oder with no correlation sometimes. It was boring, had some jokes for grown ups. The scenes in slow motion didn't make sense, they looked like the movie wasn't working properly. My nephew only liked a couple of parts with the puppy. It was difficult to relate to the characters and the adults had a fake french accent that made it difficult to understand them. I don't recommend it for children under 7 and I can't imagine an 8 or 9 year old enjoying it. Overall, just a messy movie with nothing interesting to tell and nothing that would keep the child interested. I enjoy a good animated movie, like Epic or Despicable me. This one wasn't only bad. Very bad movie.

Escapee (2011)
1/10
A murderer is caught and put in a mental hospital from which he escapes and goes after a girl
17 March 2012
The "Escapee" is by far one of the worst movies ever: bad acting, terrible script, repeating lines, no correlation... some lines can't even be understood. The plot is really poor and has a couple of gaps. Then, mistakes in costume, the stage design is cheap and seems that it was set randomly. This is a movie where the whole production apparently simply didn't care and neither did the director or the actors. Certainly there was not one thought put behind this movie. Just by watching the first 10 minutes you will feel disrespected as a viewer because there is no effort put into it, simply mistake after mistake. (We paid $13 for it). This movie is not worth 0.25 cents. AWFUL. DON'T WATCH IT.
