Blade Runner 2049: LOVED it!!
6 October 2017
The original "Bladerunner" (from 1982) is my favorite movie to watch of all time. I snuck into it in the Kirkland, WA theater to see it (I was 12 and it was Rated R) several times and eventually recorded it to VHS from Showtime a few years later and I still have that tape somewhere. Then I bought the Special Edition/Final Cut DVD's (2007). I lost count of how many times I watched it. Gotta be in the hundreds. I just saw the sequel "Blade Runner 2049" and it is instantly a very close 2nd place all time. They did it RIGHT. I wanted to hate Ryan Gosling in it because he got the part I have always wanted to play since 1982. But gawdammit he was awesome. He killed in it. The whole cast was amazing, The cinematography is mind-blowing. The story worked. It had all of the right nods to the original. The cameos were jaw-dropping. I won't spoil it but when I saw it I was shocked. I will see this film again and again and again and again and again - just like the original.

Just watched it!

*THUMBS UP* I laughed. I cried. I farted.

Plenty of good laughs to be found in this film. Michael Rosenbaum wrote, directed, produced, and stars in this fun story about a guy going back home for his High School Class of 1994 twenty-year reunion. Great soundtrack with plenty of 80's nostalgia. His wacky adventures with his old high-school buddies are hysterical. It is a throwback to the classic 80's comedies like "Caddyshack" and "Animal House". Lots of toilet humor but hey it's not trying to be the next Oscar winner - it is just a fun raunchy romp with a madcap cast. I totally enjoyed it! Cheers!

Voodoo (I) (1995)

I enjoyed it

Warning: Spoilers
Just watched this movie "Voodoo" for the first time. I was an Extra in it in 1995. I thought it would be awful but it wasn't half bad. Fun watching my 25-year-old self playing a college student in the background in several scenes. In the on-campus scenes I can be seen throwing and catching a football around in my light blue sweater and jeans. In a few hallway scenes I walk by down the hall in khaki slacks. I enjoyed meeting Sarah Douglas on the set as I had a little crush on her from Superman II when she was one of the villains. We filmed at an old closed down hospital for the Medical school scenes. It was creepy and dank and still had some of the old rusted equipment inside. I also met Corey Feldman and he was pretty cool. Fun times.

Loved it!

I enjoyed this film a lot. Yes it is low-budget.

You definitely need to suspend your sense of disbelief several times throughout.

The twists get twistier and twistier.

But the Acting is great and the Cinematography was very well done!

Fun Action thriller!!

Kudos to the lead Jim Caviezel (Nate).

I think he did a fine job carrying this film.

James Frain as the main bad guy (Marek) was also great.

He was devilishly evil.

And the rest of the talented supporting cast was right on target as well!!
