Bullet Proof (2022)
No too bad - cheeky
The adverse reviews here are a little too harsh. I mean c'mon, this film is not pretending to be a grandiose film. Pretty decent directing with some nice 'Guy Ritchie' touches. Reasonably charming with some ok touchstones to distract from some plot stretches . Doesn't take itself too seriously and the lead James Clayton does a reasonable job both acting and directing. Maybe a few plot holes and inconsistencies Ending a little cheesy perhaps but possibly the funniest moment as well. I was pleasantly surprised - and Vinnie Jones was better than expected. He can be somewhat one dimensional but showed some range this time round. Recommended for some fun.

How is this rated so high!
I was hopeful for this series as I love Westerns and the cast looked interesting. However, Hill and and McGraw are such dreadful actors it is unimaginable. Sam Elliott is best when he doesn't have much dialogue and his range is really exposed here. The young girl is the only decent actor with a future. Although the writing for the monologues is excellent, the dialogue is horrendous. This is slow moving, badly acted and written and deserves a bit of derision. I just don't understand the good reviews. This is pretty bad although the themes provide a good platform and could have been so much more.
Get Shorty (2017)
Blown away by the direction, acting and writing!
That was really an impressive 2 seasons. You can see the smaller budget in S1 but it didn't lack the quality in direction, acting and writing. S2 was just a bit slicker. Adam Arkin did just an amazing job - I had to look up his previous credits. The acting of course was excellent and not expected to be with actors from different genres. Chris O'Dowd was exceptional but all around him were 'undiscovered''gems. Really a tour de force all round. I really hope they are greenlighted for more seasons.
Ghosts of Mars (2001)
WoW! That was truly awful
I have rarely seen such poor acting, tired set design and out of date stunts all in one movie. I really had to laugh at all the cliche, 'explosions with cartwheeling bad guys flying around' stuff.
And talk about wooden acting! Of course the unyielding poor direction did not help. Sorry Natasha but your acting here was just dull and lifeless. I did however feel sorry for Ice Cube - who has real talent - being given such terrible material to work with. All the smirking by Joanna Cassidy was a bit unnerving as well.
If I was John Carpenter, I would have avoided putting my name in the title - as if it wasn't bad enough. That really was a Tour de Force de Crap!

Wow! I have finally tracked it down
I remember this series vividly from grade 8 or 9 in Canada. I remember that it was my favorite series and was shocked when it ended - but what a last episode. I have searched everywhere for reference to it but never been able to find it. I have also always been astounded that no one I spoke to about it ever heard of it. Will it ever be shown in reruns? What a cult classic! I really miss it and would really love to relive my early years by seeing it again. Has there ever been an issue on video or DVD?
