Monkey Man (2024)
Emotional, Thrilling, Action packed total entertainment.
This has got to be the best movie of this year so far and perhaps one the best action films in recent times.
Dev chooses a very complicated issue of revenge involving Indian mythology, rich and poor, mafias and what not.
And he comes out clean with a masterpiece. Not a single overrated action scene in the film such as bullets flying and hitting everyone but himself. Something like that never happens. He is just a young man looking for revenge and he does what he has to do. He fails but keeps trying to the bottom of it and wins.
Visually amazing and the action is just so excellent. Great choreography, cinematography.
Loved it and hoping to see a part 2.
Manifest (2018)
Watch it only when you have nothing else to do. Good time pass
So a flight reappears dramatically after a gap of 5 and a half years.
Out of 190+ survivors, 5-6 people play the lead.
1 cop who does nothing on her duty except finding truth about the flight and nobody stops her. Another male cop who has nothing to do but keep asking her to love him.
Another passenger who lost his job, trying to save his marriage, his house and all. But what does he do? He keeps on unpaid detective, his wife and children join him too. And while they don't have enough money to pay for everything, they still enjoy a luxury life. I mean the man never wears the same cloth again, ever.
Amazing plot that never builds properly. It gives you nothing to the end but headache.
Arnold (2023)
I'll be back!!
I just finished watching the documentary.
I knew a little bit about his life but the documentary covers every bit of it.
The guy is so honest and never afraid of hiding the truth when he is wrong.
No one I know of so far had a life like his. 3 completely different fields and then coming out as winner in all those fields that no body believed could be possible.
The documentary is divided into 3 parts and I would suggest to watch all those 3 parts in order to better understand see how the dots connect.
I know he is mostly known as a bodybuilding champion and there is a lot more to it than his bodybuilding.
Inspiring and perhaps will bring a change in your thought process. A perfect documentary on a perfect man we all wanna be.
Heojil kyolshim (2022)
Overhyped
I have seen almost every films that Park has made. And this one is not up to the expectations.
I am not saying it is a bad film to watch though, it just is too slow and doesn't really mean much.
Park winning the Cannes for this one brings me questions on the Cannes jury members.
The film is not mystery or thriller. It's just a love story of people deeply obsessed with each other.
That is it. Nothing else you would see in the story. Some scenes are so blunt that you would scratch your head and ask what the heck just happened.
No take aways from the movies besides excellent performances by both the actors.
Severance (2022)
Season 2 please
Outstanding!
Just when I thoughts there cannot be a new idea of a film or a tv series, Severance appeared.
The more you watch the more you crave for.
How I wished season 2 was also there to watch but it will take more than a year to come.
Fantastic storytelling, compelling idea and a pretty intense tv series.
You will absolutely love it irrespective of your favorite genre. There aren't so many characters in season 1 but enough to keep you entertained throughout the season. And each episodes bring you something new to enjoy and make you feel fresh.
Perhaps one of the best TV series of all time.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Blew my mind
This is insanely one of the best movies ever made.
It takes you in a world that you can definitely relate.
A movie that connects family and teaches us to cherish what have. A human can be anything he or she wants but kindness is what makes all the difference eventually. And it does not cost you a penny.
Engaging, excellent performances, beautiful hair and make up and some mind boggling time paradox.
Watch it or miss something really about you.
Soul (2020)
Soul will touch your soul
I have never seen an animated movie with so much reality. A reality about life itself.
This movie is something I believe every human can connect with. It teaches you to appreciate everything you do or you experience.
I am grateful that I saw this.
