Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Absolutely Mindless Trash
No substance whatsoever. The entire plot is fluff. The characters either never fully develop, or are cartoon-like archetypes. WW84 tried to cover the B.S. with flashy action scenes & corny one-liner attempts at humor. An absolute disgrace of a movie.
Spare yourself the wasted time & don't watch. You'll be thoroughly disappointed.
Alpha (2018)
Loved It!
Great movie. A well-written journey of friendship, love & the emergence of a symbiosis between man & man's best friend. You will definitely shed some tears! Tags all the right emotional buttons.
Mirzapur (2018)
Amateurish Drivel
All these 10/10 ratings are suspect. The show's writing is laughable at best. No substance - all fluff. Unnecessarily gratuitous violence. The characters change personalities as easily as one changes outfits. The first half of Season 1 was good. Then it fell off a cliff...and fast.
Don't waste your time.
Chris D'Elia: No Pain (2020)
Not Funny At All
Overrated AF. His earlier standup is much funnier. This was uninspired, and ultimately just not funny.
The Man in the High Castle: Fire from the Gods (2019)
Terrible Ending - Sloppy & Rushed
Such a disappointing series finale to an otherwise good show. They obviously wrapped it up with haste, in the process showing little regard or respect for loyal viewers. This is starting to become somewhat of a pattern with shows on Amazon Prime.
Aquaman (2018)
Cliche AF & Absolute Garbage
Unless your I.Q. is in the double digits (which would likely preclude you from even realizing as such - oh the irony), avoid this movie at all costs. Zero substance or plot depth. Terribly cliche dialogue. Horrible acting. The 3 stars are merely for the visually rich C.G. That notwithstanding, I just lost 2+ hours of my life.
Yet another reminder of just how remedial the general population is. That this movie has an average rating of 7 along with several 9's & 10's defies logic. Utter garbage.
Jamie Foxx: I Might Need Security (2002)
HILARIOUS!! One of the Most Under-Rated StandUp Routines...
*Does contain some small spoilers* Overall an 8.5 IMO. With the exception of the drawn-out bit about LL.Cool.J and a couple other jokes, the routine was pure fire from start to finish. I really think most people didn't understand Jamie's humor or missed a lot of the subtleties & nuances. Even his presence on the stage and his sheer talent from hilarious impersonations to playing the piano & singing make him a great entertainer. Granted his jokes are raw and definitely non-PC. If you're a conservative suburbanite in his/her 50's, you probably won't understand or enjoy this. Otherwise this is Jamie Foxx at his best. His style is naturally funny, his impersonations are on target and the jokes he comes up with are creative/crazy as hell!
Highly recommended! I can never watch a movie or comedy routine more than once or twice and I've seen this at least 10 times!
