I'll Be There (2003)
Funny, talented, and surprising.
I actually only rented this on the chance that I would get to hear Charlotte Church sing. I wasn't expecting much out of the film or the acting. I was wrong. I laughed out loud in several spots, and was extrememly pleasantly surprised to see such good acting. Most of all by Miss Church. Who would think that someone with such stunning beauty and such a talented voice, could actually act.
The movie wasn't much of an inspiring romance, but it was a movie that was intedned to uplift you and inspire you to pursue your dreams. Entertaining to the last minute.
Girl Fever (2002)
Not what I expected, but still pleased.
I rented this movie to watch by myself because I figured my wife wouldn't be interested. I figured it would end up being a movie with some crude or sexual humor, and a bunch of attractive women.
The attractive women part was right on. But as far as the whole tone of the movie, I was way off. This had some intelligent humor, and some good romantic story lines.
I could clearly see why alot of MALES have rated this pretty low, they were probably expecting a spankfest. This would definitely qualify as more of a chick flick, especially geared towards the girls that like the emo boys, the ones that wear their hearts on their sleaves.
I was impressed with the story, and the quality of the acting.
