I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016)
Unfinished
I'm afraid I can not be objective about the film overall because I loved the tone and I loved loved the fact that our storyteller (the nurse) is easily frightened and this adds to the level of spookiness. With a better storyline or even with just a better climax it would make a perfect horror movie but as is this is just a beautiful movie draft. The atmospehere deserves to be supported by a better story which leaves no questions unanswered. Why did the groom kill the bride? Why didn't Polly (as ghost) show herself to the nurse before 11 months? Did The author die due to lack of care (the bell on the floor indicates that she tried to get help) or did Polly or Lilly's ghosts have anything to do with it? I loved the detail that author didn't get hurt when she moved in because she wasn't easily frightened but the nurse got hurt because of her faint heart. Don't watch if story is all that matters to you in a movie. You might like if you love gothic art and if story is second or third priority for you.

Bad rip off of the movie "madhouse"
The screenplay is a bad ripoff of the movie "madhouse", adding a different ending didn't change the fact that it is unoriginal . Also the idea of mentally ill people acting like doctors or nurses and getting away with it the whole time is not realistic, maybe one or two of them could but all of them?? Seems like they were not medicated heavy drugs and they were all great actors.
In the murder scenes, you could tell it was a woman in the raincoat so you could guess who committed the three murders, since she wasn't the murderer in previous murders it was a twist ending, not a great twist but it was OK. Someone mentioned that there were no hints to the ending, actually the unbalanced behavior of medical staff during inquiry, nurses forgetting the medicine time of the patients, doctor who can't explain "catatonic schizophrenia" at dinner scene and gets nervous when the new doctor asks questions about patients, staff enjoying to torture the patients(OK this one is also true for some actual medical staff in real life unfortunately, so it was a vague one) and chief physician talking to himself in the mirror saying "nurse ipek" (well, it was explained at the end actually ,not during that scene) were good hints.
Unfortunately it doesn't change the fact that the screenplay was stolen, acting and directing was bad and the general mood of the film was only OK. Actually my rating is only to encourage the Turkish horror movies,it didn't even deserve four stars in my opinion.
Bollywood also steals the screenplays but at least it improves some of the films, doesn't ruin them like this movie.
