This movie is impactful, controversial and beautiful in many ways. The idea of getting a second chance to see off a loved one and to do this in therapeutic steps via a host simulation is challenging and creates some challenges for the logic of the plot. The director has tried to create characters and a flow, that allows to immerse in the complex plot. The different settings are sometimes dark and dystopian and sometimes cheerful and light. The main characters are amazingly played by all three actors, the pictures created are harmonious and the music supports the flow. No wonder that the reception at the Berlinale audience was very positive and the two hours were engaging and entertaining.

The movie is trying to immerse the audience into the microcosm of a major restaurant kitchen in New York. Great acting by many of the cast. However, 3 hours are too long for getting the story across. Some elements don't make sense at all and some characters are not getting the focus they deserve. Overall the topic of diverse cultures by migrants and their personal dreams of life are a crucial topic. I would have wished to allow this in a form that would focus on few and with a deeper vertical story line. Raul and Rooney Mara are amazing in their performances. We watched it at the world premiere and the audience was very receptive to the premiere.

I watched the movie yesterday in an open air cinema in Athens. I was amazed by this trial drama. Not knowing a lot about 68 in Chicago and the US it was a dense movie on the political volatility of values, society and lawmakers and judges. I reminds us all how important it is to have excellent and independent judges, lawmakers and courageous citizens to challenge the government
