Giù la testa (1971)
Really beautiful, heavily underrated movie
One of my all time favourites. When it comes to Leone, it's always about One upon a time, Fistful, etc. - and rightfully so. But somehow this one is always overlooked.
A stellar, Oscar worthy performance by Rod Steiger, Coburn's heartbreaking flashbacks from Ireland, the perfect balance between comedy and drama, and last but not least the exceptionally beautiful score by Ennio (which strangely enough is one of his more well known pieces) make this one of my most beloved movies. A movie with a lot of soul, I love it. So please take your time and give this one a chance, you won't be disappointed.
Under the Banner of Heaven: Revelation (2022)
Too slow, the ongoing religious BS is very tiring
Well made, quality series. Good acting. But much, much to slow to my opinion. The endless, ongoing dialogues about faith and religion are exhausting, as are the constant doubts and struggles of the constantly troubled main characters with loyalty and faith. Sorry.
Perry Mason (2020)
Great show, beautifully made
Heavily underrated, don't understand why. Absolutely one of the best shows this year. Scores high in all areas. Please have some patience to allow yourself to get into the story and enjoy the slower pace in the first episodes, you won't be disappointed, 100% guaranteed. Highly recommended
The Witcher (2019)
Crazy Town
I've really tried, but this one is a true disaster. I don't even know where to begin. A crazy story with unclear beginnings and endings, illogical timing, inexplicable plot turnes, stupid fantasy cliches, etc, etc....
And why does this one have an 8.5 rating on IMDB? I understand that people have different opinions, but this one is really impossible to like, even for hard core Witcher fans. Paid reviews? Sorry...
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
the worst movie of the decade
Sorry, i really tried. i saw the bad reviews in advance, but i thought whatever. i've watched movies with worse critics, which turned out ok after all. especially in this genre.. but this was a big mistake. believe me; don't watch this movie. it's really, really bad, in all aspects.
Homeland (2011)
after seven seasons still the best thriller series
I've just finished season 7 and the series is still the best in it's genre. The characters, the clever script, the acting, the atmosphere, the music and the great Claire Danes make this an all time favorite. The series stays fresh and relevant, still after seven seasons. I really hope there will be many seasons to come.
