The Last Thing He Wanted (2020)
Awful
How did a movie this bad ever get released? Did Netflix seriously pay for this to be produced? It is as if it was intended to be a mini-series of 8 hours and they forced cut it to under 2, so nothing really made any sense anymore? Absolutely incredible that something with so many incredible actors could turn out so bad. I guess I have to start reading these reviews before I just click the ok button in Netflix. Wishing now that I could somehow get back the last 2 hours of my life that I completely wasted on this utterly incomprehensible movie... Hands down, this is the most disappointed I have been after watching a movie in my life.

Highly Entertaining Crime Drama
This is a good story about two underpaid undercover cops trying to do the right thing while surrounded by corruption.
It was a little slow and hard to follow at the beginning and seemed to jump around a bit, but the story does develop well and has some twists and turns that keep it interesting and entertaining right to the end. Does contain graphic violence, not unlike most movies in this genre.
Although the storyline is quite different, the pace and presentation of the movie reminded me a little of "Training Day" and although I'm not usually a big fan of jerky camera work, they made good use of it in this movie to really draw you into some of the action.
The Company You Keep (2012)
Amazing Acting, Good Story... Casting a little off
I thought the acting in this movie was exceptional. Of course, given the cast, it would have been hard for it not to be. Not many movies/directors have the opportunity to cast Susan Sarandon in a bit part with only 2 or 3 scenes!
The story itself was good. It definitely has enough twists and turns to make it a compelling thriller, although I think more time should have been spent developing some of the supporting characters. A lot of time was spent on developing Redford's role as a father, but I think that time could have been better spent covering the events that happened 30 years earlier and giving more depth to the characters that really make up the story itself.
The biggest failure of the movie was the casting. I appreciate that Redford also directed this film and it certainly needed someone strong for that role, I just don't know if Redford was the best fit for it. Clearly it is not plausible that in his 70s he is the single father of a 10-11 year old. As much as I love him as an actor, and liked this movie - that was a little hard for me to swallow. If he wanted to cast himself in the movie, I think it would have been better to cast himself as her grandfather. They could have simply added something about her losing her parents leaving him as her only surviving caregiver.
Anyway, overall a very good movie, definitely worth watching, and I certainly hope it is not the last from Redford.
