To me this movie was nothing special. It is a failed dramady with an easy to follow formula and a very melodramatic plot. Did anybody seriously not see the ending coming? While people might say that the predictability might add to the movie's "charms", I disagree. i doubt it was intentional. The Evelyn Couch story line was utterly pointless except to give the story a reason to be told. The filmmakers tried to add humor to the Couch's situation but it failed miserably. The overload of drama made each "twist" less exciting than the one before. It failed to make me cry, I cry in pretty much everything, and I couldn't care less what happened to any character at the end. While Jessica Tandy was phenomenal, the only true shining performance, the rest of the cast fell flat. Most flashback movies don't work. They don't bring the story to life and it is very distracting to go from one time period to another. Very few films have ever made that work, and this is not one of them. What attempted to be a great cinematic experience simply turned into a pretentious, overrated dud.

Ugh I saw this movie like 4 times in hotels in Italy because there were no other English movies. The plot line is bad, the acting his horrible on Keanu Reeves' part and it was just an all together bad film! I remember not wanting to see this while it was in theaters and now I know that I have good movie judgement because this was just a waste of my time. It was overly hyped as a good movie with a story line easy to follow! ALL LIES! i think the only reason this movie got made was because Tilda Swinton and Keanu Reeves were in it. I like Tilda Swinton and I think she is a good actress but Keanu Reeves just got worse and worse and worse. Rachel Weisz is good in basically everything she does (maybe not the Mummy but thats not relevant). I give this movie ** out of **********. Don't WASTE YOUR TIME!

I give this movie a 10 out of 10 because it is a non stop good time. I have watched this over 200 times ( no lie) and I never get bored! it is just go good! i love the actors, and the directing in this film. Heath Ledger is very believable as William Thatcher, and Shannon Sossamon has a fair entry into the film industry. The plot is very well constructed (with a few holes) but other than that I think that this is in my top 5 favorite movies. There is no arguing that you will fall in love with Ledgers character, and that you will hate Sewell's. Brian helgeland does a great job on the jousting sequences, making them look real and so you fear for the character. And the suspense of Adhemar's plot against Ulrich is an added bonus. Parts of this movie blow me away, like when he fights in the sword ring and when he is training with Roland and Wat. All in all this movie is insanely good, and is so good I have to make up a new word. Fantasmagorical

I read the short story by Annie Proulx many times before I even knew they were making a movie. But when i found out they were I was extremely excited! I told everyone I knew about it and they said it was disgusting and wrong, especially some of my strong Christian friends. I never let them influence me differently. I stayed a huge supporter of the movie and when I saw it I was blown away. I never thought it could be like that. It is the most incredible, raw, passionate, and heartbreaking story that has ever graced the theaters. When people began labeling it as the 'gay cowboy movie' I became extremely upset! How could people judge it before they had ever even seen it, or even knew what it's about! I defended it until one friend gave in and went out and saw it. When they came back, they cried because they admitted they were wrong, and that they shouldn't have judged it! but still nobody listened. For a while I abandoned the 'campaign' if you will, for Brokeback and began spreading the word to people I knew very well that it was a spectacular movie. When the men I knew heard about it they scoffed and said that it was sick, and any chick who wanted to see it had major issues. I just told then to shove their opinions up their a***, pardon my french. I simply didn't care what they said about it. But in general this movie is the best movie i have seen in my entire life. It gives you a different view on human function, and how people see other people. I say that you should watch the movie and do not judge it before hand.

a teen movie. I enjoyed it because well I'm a teen. The comedy could have been better, but there were some funny moments, like when Tom was attacked by the pigeons, and when Tom and Peter were fighting. It was pretty predictable, but I am a fan of corny romantic comedies, and if you are, you will want to see this movie. it is a heartwarming film that any Ashton or Brittany fan will want to see. It does not reflect the best work of anyone but it is enjoyable none the less. Final review: A cheesy, not that great movie, with an enjoyable plot and a nice cast.

Rent it but don't rush out and buy it

I saw this movie a few months after it went out of theaters, and to be honest I didn't have any urge to see it in theaters. My first impression was 'O god, another fluffy, bubbly chick flick' (even though I am a chick, and do enjoy the occasional chick flick.) When I saw the movie, my expectations were very low, and dismal. What I got was a pleasant surprise. While it is no Citizen Cane, it certainly isn't a bad movie. I enjoyed the lightness and entertainment. It was a movie that they didn't expect you to come out sobbing, they expected you to come out with a satisfied smile on your face. I must say that JoJo was very fun as Hailey, as was Emma Roberts as Claire. And Sara Paxton truly shone as Aquamarine. This movie is a great family flick, or if you want something that you can watch and fall asleep with visions of mermaid swimming in your mind. 2 thumbs up!

I Love this movie! I know some people might say that it was not a great movie, but I really disagree. The comedy is classic Mel Brooks style and the actors were superbly chosen. This was my first exposure to Cary Elwes, and Dave Chappelle and what a first impression they made. Cary Elwes shines as Robin Hood, the only British Robin Hood mind you. He has great comedic timing and the right attitude for this type of film. Dave Chappelle is obviously much bigger now, but at the time this was his first movie and he did an outstanding job as Achoo. The characters were all very well planned out and all added their own little quirks to the movie. I highly recommend that you rent this movie and enjoy it with a nice bowl of popcorn and some close friends!

What a random cast of people and they still did an amazing job. I had no idea that such a different bunch of folks can do such a funny excellent job at this very weird tale. The cast was hilarious and you will be so impressed. This film is about..a bunch of different stuff. Its hard to explain, but when you see the movie, you will know why it is so good. Each character was funny in his/her own way. I think that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon did the best. They did such a fun job. The spirit they had made the movie exciting. Chris Rock was just all around hilarious! He made the funniest remarks. Jay and Silent Bob were also pretty funny as they are in every other movie they star in.

Ned Kelly is the story of the famous Australian outlaw but it shows him in such a light that you feel so sorry for him. The amazing acting that Heath Ledger gave to this film really opened him up to his outstanding reviews for this and other movies. The raw power of this movie really makes you think about how hard the Irish immigrants in Australia had it in the 1800's. Gregor Jordan spares no expense in building this film to all of its potential. Orlando Bloom does an amazing job as sidekick Joe Byrne. His suave ways of acting around women really showed Orlando's slicker side in films. Laurence Kinlan and Phil Barantini's portrayals of Dan Kelly and Steve Hart were very powerful, especially at the end when they both have to decide what to do when they are trapped in the burning bar (trying not to give anything away here!) Naomi Watts was astonishingly talented at playing Julia Cook, Ned Kelly's secret lover, of course the fact that he was actually sleeping with her off set might have helped a little bit. Over all this movie is tremendous, and I HIGHLY recommend renting/buying this film.

I love this movie. Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon have such great chemistry. At the time during the filming they were dating and their love really showed on screen. This is a movie for people who like drama and surprises. This may seem like a messed up movie to some, but they just don't understand the pressure of being a teen. This movie is in a way realisic. All the acting was great. Sarah Michelle Gellar did a fantastic "evil" character. Reese was truly the best person to play an innocent Annette Hargrove. Ryan Phillipe has an amazing talent, and was a great choice to play the kniving Sebastian Valmont. Salma Blair was pretty good as the ditzy younger girl. This movie can be "innopropriate" at parts, but it was nessicary for the story to be successful.It had great directing!! See this movie!!

This movie was too highly publicized because of Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Anistons relationship. The surprise of seeing them together on screen was ruined by the tabloid photos of them everywhere! The ending to the movie made me so angry, I not only yelled at my friend seeing it with me but i stormed out of the theater in a rage!! Jon Favreau was the only good part of the movie. He never ceases to amaze me at the humor and light heartedness he can bring to a dismal movie. Vince Vaughn did have a few funny moments but mostly he was busy yelling at Jennifer Aniston who was OK, but this was no Friends like experience for any Aniston fan. I recommend that if you see this movie do NOT put all of your hopes into seeing an A+ movie, maybe a B or C+.

I love this show and I never miss it. The character and plot twists are very entertaining and captivating. The chemistry between the actors in so real, if you don't have a Sunday night show, I recommend that this be yours! Don't overlook Steve Valentine or Ravi Kapoor, they really add another dimension to the show. Jill Hennessy is very believable as Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh. Her off beat behavior lets you know that she is not going to follow the rules. My personal favorite is Steve Valentine as Nigel Townsend. While he maybe sort of creepy looking, you learn to love him after seeing him on screen for 5 minutes. The roles are all brilliantly cast and tremendously portrayed by the wonderful actors that play them. This is definitely one of the best shows on television.
