Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021)
The Dad Batch
Baby sitting the very annoying Omega ruins a good show.
The End of the F***ing World (2017)
Good British series in a long time
Just discovered this, little bit late I know, second season's out already.
Excellent, British out-of-nowhere show's.
It's aggressive nihilism conceals a tender and romantic centre.
It's highly stylised world that is not fixed in any time or place.
It feels a little American, a little English, a bit 70s, a bit 90s.
And yes clearly inspired by Quentin Tarantino.
The writing is fantastically dry.
The music is bad, it's loud and annoying on purpose.
For me thou that's a big reason why I only give this series a solid 7 instead of a flirting 9.
So...
Meet the young teens James and Alyssa, he's a monster and she's angry.
Self-diagnosed psychopath James is 17 year old emotionless monster who puts his hand in a deep-fat fryer just to feel something.
James kills animals and now he wants to kill something bigger so he pretends to be interested in Alyssa.
And Alyssa is from a dysfunctional family with a nasty rich stepdad,
Alyssa is always bored and angry.
She's rude, nasty, foul-mouthed and obviously get's into trouble all the time.
Alyssa finds James interesting, his different she reckons.
Alyssa proposes that the pair of them escape from their "" suburban lives,
James and Alyssa embark on a star- crossed road trip looking for Alyssa real dad who's turns out to be a deadbeat.
Modern Bonnie and Clyde story comes to mind.
Well worth the watch, binge.
The Mandalorian (2019)
I love it
As a Star Wars fan I was very pleased with the first episode.
It had a 1977 Star Wars atmosphere to it, beautiful scenery, alien bar, ice planet, desert planet and riding a funny blurrg.
Other bounty hunters, awesome IG-88 looking robot spinning and blasting bad guys.
As a Star Wars fan you won't be disappointed, neither will the Sci-Fi fans.
So looking forward the next episode.
Castle Rock (2018)
Slow, boring, BIG nothing.
Every episode got eerie music, get a feeling of a impending doom... but nothing really happens.
Episode 9 I give up... I'm very disappointing.
I'm a Stephen King fan, I was really excited to see this, but oh boy was I fooled.
Tired of IMDb fake high rates.
See (2019)
Dystopic and weird cool
SEE is a dystopian drama about a world in the future in which humans no longer have the sense of sight.
Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo, Aquaman) plays Baba Voss, the leader of a tribe searching for a new home.
It's strange and entertaining enough to keep me interested.
A deadly virus outbreak in the 21st century left less than two million people alive, but without vision.
Centuries later, they survive using new ways to build, hunt, communicate, and battle, and do not believe that their ancestors had once been able to see.
This series is a beautifully produced, well-scored, action-packed show that is both brutal and compelling.
It effectively intertwines a story of primitive survival with a mythology-driven narrative characters.
Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049) is a really cool evil Queen of some weird cult who sends witch seekers to destroy Baba Voss his Alekeny village.
Top Boy (2011)
Gritty realistic street gangsters
Well-acted, well-written TV series like this don't come round that often.
The social economic-torn raw environment, the ruthless gritty characters creates a realistic street level hustler setting in the UK.
Offers a strong sense or morality without being preachy, which is extremely difficult to do.
The script and the superb actors give it weight well worth watching.
Last time I saw something this good was "The Wire" and perhaps "Snowfall".
Top Boy, absolutely love the show.
Wish the where more episodes.
Can't wait to binge the second season.
Alex from Stockholm over 'n out!
Peaky Blinders (2013)
Top notch Season 5
Absolutley love this TV series, one of the all time best for me.
Season 5 as good as the other 4.
Great story line, sublime characters and always the last episode a great finale supreme witha cliffhanger.
I'm not from Birmingham I'm from Stockholm, Sweden.
On Becoming a God in Central Florida (2019)
Down the drain
Started out okay but after couple episodes it just went down the drain, slowed down, story got repetitive.
Dark (2017)
Utter rubbish
10/10, are you kidding me?
I rarely write a review but this obvious spambot number boosting just stinks.
This is utter rubbish, slow-paced, overreacting, pretentious and hardly original story.
Dolby atmos eerie music almost on every scene with mediocre acting.
Music building up to something that never comes and it just drags on and on and on.
Ten hours torture you can do with out.
A Discovery of Witches (2018)
Rubbish
As Diana and Matthew embark on a journey to understand the secrets of the ancient manuscript, their relationship develops, and events threaten to unravel the fragile peace that has long existed between witches, vampires, demons and humans... poor acting, rubbish plot, the is really bad
