Ripoffs
20 May 2023
I bought entire seasons but now they are showing repeats under different names. What a ripoff. They should give a discount when they do this. Bill Shatner should be ashamed. But in this day and age I guess we can expect no better from news outlets that lie and politicians that do the same. Let the buyer beware. Still some of the programs are really good and informative but I guess Shatner is getting old and needs a rest. However, I will keep watching for new and better stuff and I hope they read this review and stop trying to shaft us loyal fans. Just saying. Hope lives eternal and I will forgive but not forget.

Garbage
18 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This totally screws up the Batman time line! Harvey Dent was Two Face not after Batman 'died'.

This is a joke! Joker's daughter? Dumb dumb dumb. Where is Gordon? Alfred dead too! What a load of fiction.

Not part of any Batman chronicles I ever heard of!

They should have read the history or at least watched the movies.?

Again they totally screwed up the story line.

Next they will dig up Mr Freeze, Joker, Riddler and God knows who else. There is no saving this story. End it now! Boo hoo!.

Writers should read the old stories before trying to write a new one that doesn't fit anything. What a load of hooey!

Like the old Pinocchio
9 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Has good moral views and not the wokisms of today. Walt would be in favor of this original version. Without giving away too much plot I think this is OK FOR KIDS AS WELL AS ADULTS. Characters stayed true to original story. Guess Disney is getting back to it's old roots. Glad to see! A welcome change. Animation is superb as compared to cartoon version. Can't say anymore at this time. Tom Hanks has good Italian accent. The whale sequence is very well done as well as all the other original story lines that made the Pinocchio a family favorite for all these years. Even the voices sound as I remembered them years ago.

Always a Bad guy
15 June 2022
George Sanders most of the time played a bad guy. In real life during the War he was an anti-semite and favored what the Nazis were doing. Even pushed their agenda as something favorable. Good actor but lousy person.

Mr Moto socko
15 June 2022
Unfortunately the character Mr Moto was not considered a good one since the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941. The series ended prematurely and Lorre went on to be one of our most appreciated character actors in mysteries such as Maltese Falcon and Horror opposite Vincent Price. Mr Moto was not sern again after 1939 until 1965 portraited by Henry Silva.

Greatest performance By Samuel L Jackson
19 March 2022
This was truly the greatest performance by this actor. If he doesn't get an Emmy or Oscar then no one should. This man is a consummate actor far above many today. I can't tell you more about the show or I will be giving spoiler alerts. A must watch performance.

Pictures are a thousand words
2 July 2021
Pictures on the wall of the jail are supposed to represent political figures of the fictional country but they are semi famous figures in Latin American history such as Juaquin Murietta an infamous bandit. And possible Latin American 40's movies stars.

While Rogers was a hero of Northwest Passage he in real life was a traitor to Americans because he fought on the British side during the Revolutionary War and was responsible for capturing Nathan Hale.

Wonderful Mrs Miniver
21 January 2021
Neither Greer Garson or Walter Pigeon wanted to do this picture. Garson thought she was too young to be a mother with a son going off to war. By the way she later married him in real life. Pigeon thought he was too debonair to play a father. Thank God they were convinced otherwise. One thing about the opening bus scene. It was an American bus with a upper deck screwed on. Also, I could swear the the man getting on ahead of Garson is Don Ameche. Check me out and see.

So sad and unnecessary
31 October 2020
The end of a GREAT TV show. Fiume cast excellent stories about brave bomber pilots and crews. In the first season Robert Lansing was the epitome of a bomber commander but jealous QM had him fire red for the rest of the series. So sad and then viewer audience was dealing with Vietnam and bitterness ended a fine show. Too bad!

Missing stars

Initial intros always eliminate stars like Jeanette Nolan or Leonard Nimoy etc. why I wonder. Would they have to pay them more to headline them?

Bad Decision
6 October 2020
The worst decision QM ever made was to fire Robert Lansing for no other reason then to appeal to a 'younger' audience. Lansing player the premier General Savage in the first season and was fantastic. He played it as Gregory Peck did in the Movie version. Q Martin replaced him with a very poor Paul Burke. Never a satisfactory actor he played the part of the leader of the 918 bomber group as a very emotional confused leader never quite achieving the high standard of Robert Lansing. Show lasted two more seasons but on a wing and a prayer. It could have gone on for many with Lansing. Just my opinion!

Unfair portrayal
26 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Unfair portrayal of only the downside of Marie and Pierre Curies great discovery! Nuclear power is safe. The weapons were a down side. But the bomb was the right decision and saved millions of lives and cured cancer in most cases.

Totally unfair smear.

Very Good
4 June 2020
Discount the disclaimers. This is the whole film from TV. Cast is top draw! Peter Falk, Bob Hoskins, James Fox three of the best. By far better than film The Lost World with John Rhyes Davies, although he was good. Dinosaurs are not blow ups of lizards as in Film with Claude Rains. Which was ridiculous. This has more realistic dinasaurs. Of course not as good as Jurassic Park. Nothing tops that but it is good

Joker story is a joke
4 May 2020
There was no truth to the Joke being a clown or comedian. He was however, a criminal of the highest violent order in Comicdom. Original story Joke fell into a vat of acid and was disfigured which drove him mad. The original Batman movie was closer to the comic truth.

That being said Phoenix's acting is superb. He deserved an Oscar.

OK BUT NOT AS GOOD AS PREVIOUS FILMS WITH THIS THEME SUCH AS DEALING WITH AFTER THE WAR AND OCCUPATION. The Search with Montgomery Clift is a better one and one with Gregory Peck.
