Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match (2023)
Loved it!
Very funny, cheesy 80's vibe and great action. If you don't like 80's action style you won't like this. Hilarious that Jennifer Grey plays herself in this movie. Love how they use cliche Hollywood tropes in the movie while simultaneously poking fun at them. I thought the action was good and the dialog was fun. Voice acting was superb, loved hearing Gilbert as a talent agent that was hilarious. Anyone who says this movie was bad needs to take a chill pill and stop being so serious. This was intended to be campy so embrace the suck and enjoy it for what it is: a 4th wall breaking, blood and guts action/comedy cartoon.
Expend4bles (2023)
Amateur hour... and 45 min
I'm not even 3/4 way though and I want to give this movie 2 stars. This movie is worse in orders of magnitude over the previous franchise entries. Horrible CGI, horrible dialog, action is basic. Plot is garbage. Even the cinematography and fighting sequences are bad. It's like they phoned this one in on a cheap budget. Megan Fox is touted as "an expendable" but runs around with a gun strapped to her like a B movie amateur, adding nothing to the action at all... but they made sure to have a scene with her nips. Statham gets so much more screen time than all the other top billed cast that they should have just called this The Transporter 4... there's even a scene with him in a suit almost identical to the ones he wore in that franchise. Stallone gets almost no screen time at all. Andy Garcia is normally a great actor but he seems very wooden and worthless in all his scenes. This movie is all creme puff and no substance, and the creme puff is made of sugarless 1% vegan almond milk.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 13: The Jedi (2020)
So much in one episode!!!
This episode was badass!!! Tons of action and loads of new info!
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Haters gonna hate, armchair directors galore!!
This movie was awesome. A nice conclusion to the last trilogy and I'm happy with the rounding out of the Skywalker saga. Look, if you love Star Wars, then you can love this movie. If you don't love Star Wars, go see another movie. Oh and remember, just because you grew up watching Star Wars, like I did, it doesn't mean it BELONGS to you. Stop saying that the last trilogy has ruined your childhood... Because if a movie can "ruin your childhood" then you got much bigger problems than watching a "bad movie"...
Dances with Wolves (1990)
29 years later and still amazing!
I remember seeing this movie when it first came out in the theaters. I was still in high school and even then I realized how epic a movie it really was. 29 years later, and dozens of viewings later, it still holds it's value through the decades. I love this movie; the story, the acting, the culture, the history... there is so much to learn about life from this movie. The bonds of friendship, the good and bad nature of men, the power of love and loyalty... this movie has it all!
