Resident Evil (2022)
Loved it. Great set-up season.
So season one struck me as all about world-building and character development. We learnt about a lot of the characters and their backstories, as the plot jumped back and forth between both timeframes. The pace was slow at times during the first few episodes, but the stakes really rose during the second half of the season.
Season one, like many other shows was the set-up season, where all stories have a beginning, a middle and an end. Season one felt like the beginning, and it ended with the high-stakes middle about to kick off! It really set us up well for a second season.
I know Netflix has cancelled it, but I hope another network picks it up and shows us what happens next because it's a story that deserves to be told. Thank you to the writers; well done.
Battlefield: Hardline (2015)
One of my fav BF games
One of my fav Battlefield games, next to Bad Company 2. Great characters and story!
I've never played Battlefield games online, never seen the point in them (I'm not a sporty person, so deathmatch type run and gun scenarios, with no reason behind why you're shooting at the other team/players other than win the match, have no meaning to me).
Jigeum uri hakgyoneun (2022)
Good story and actors. Terrible English voice casting.
I enjoyed the story and the acting, but the casting for the English dubbing was awful and really distracted me from what my eyes were seeing.
Every voice sounded like a well-spoken 20-somethings. No matter who the on-screen character was, they all sounded the same - young or old, good upbringing or not. The kids didn't sound like schools kids, they all sounded like posh 20-something Yale or Harvard students.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Great movie!
Loved it!
Great acting, story and effects. I really felt the emotion and drive of the main characters.
I wish I'd starting acting earlier so I could have auditioned!
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Loving it!
I love all things Star Trek, and season 3 was the best Discovery season yet!
In a way it reminded me of Voyager - a stranded federation ship that was surrounded by different cultures and histories which they didn't understand.
I can't wait for season 4!
Mulan (2020)
Amazing!
I've always loved the story of Mulan. The Disney cartoon adaption was ok, it's a 'classic' after all. I loved the 2009 Chinese live action movie and I enjoyed this one version just as much!
