Gyvieji didvyriai (1959)
Very good early lithuanian film
This is a very early film in lithuanian film history. It was based on a novel by the same name. It has four parts based on four different novels, first part : "We don't need anymore" by J. Baltusis, "Nightingale" by P. Cvirka, "The last shot" and "The living heroes" aka "Gyvieji didvyriai". I saw this film because I wanted to get known to lithuanian film industry. I saw it, and here's what I can say about it. This movie is about kids. Kids, and their destinies in different time periods. I recommend everyone to watch this early lithuanian film not because I saw it really good as movie, but to familiarize with Lithuanian film industry, whitch is not a some kind of a dull Hollywood movie. I didn't like this movie very mutch, but is a good pearl of lithuanian film industry. BTW, it's script is written by famous person in Lithuania - Algimantas Čekuolis.
Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo (1966)
Very good western movie
Exellend piece of art. Sergio Leone made a really great job, and I really enjoyed the movie. It's probably the best movie with Mr. Clint Eastwood aka Blonde. Sergio Leone's magnificent and ingenious direction in synergy with Ennio Morricone's surreal music, Tonino Delli Colli's breathtaking cinematography and Joe D'Augustine's punctilious editing makes the movie, a treat to watch and ineffably unforgettable. Initially aimed to be a tongue-in-cheek satire on run-of-the-mill westerns, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, continues to stand the test of time in its endeavor to attain apotheosis (if it hasn't attained it yet). It will always be remembered as European cinema's greatest lagniappe, not only to the Western genre, but to the world of cinema.
It's a must watch for any movie lover. 10/10
