Dead End Express (2015)
Decent Alaska-set reality show..
I was quite enjoying this show until one blip on my screen ruined it for me. This is a show about goods-haulers who take stuff to those waaaaaay off the grid. Two featured crews are in Alaska, one is in Montana, and the river boat guy in Idaho. It's an easy show to get lost in and enjoy.
I did until the blip on my screen that I had to rewind to see. During episode 6 when the lead dog Charlie is leading them crazily across the frozen lake due to his running partner being in heat you can see headlights in the distance. They move in an obvious way a vehicle headlight would. Sorry but it's a show about delivering to those nowhere near a car/truck traveled road so we should not see headlights except those on snow machines.
Love It or List It (2008)
Love it or Love it..
That SHOULD be the name of this show since 90% of the homeowners end up "loving" their home. It became fairly obviously early on that most of these homeowners were simply looking for a cheap makeover for their house and what better way than a TV crew? The budget is almost never adequate for the work they want AND for the 'surprises' that almost always happen. Some of these surprises should have been caught in home inspections, like a recent episode where a deck was (previously) improperly installed and the city inspector halted all work on the interior of the house until the problem was rectified.
I like David the realtor and Hilary the designer. I like the concept of this show. I'm just tired of it always being a "love it" ending along with the bad acting many of the homeowners do in getting mad at their extremely low budgets not covering every renovation they want done.
