Cecil B. Demented (2000)
Funny, Rude, Demented - totally awesome!
If you like films that are not to be taken too seriously, this is it!
Cecil B Demented is a really funny, "low budgetly cult" film that boasts a fantastic cast who provide plenty of memorable moments as Cecil's rebellious cinematic misfits 'The Sprocket Holes'.
Stephen Dorff does a fantastic job playing Cecil - the crazy independent film maker who kidnaps Hollywood's most loved actress, Honey Whitlock (Melanie Griffith), in order to make his film a success in the world of underground cinema.
If you are a serial, hardcore movie goer, this is the film for you. Full of ridiculous, crude humor and masses of action and excitement - this is a classic.
And remember starring as the crazy Cecil B Demented is Stephen Dorff so you'll also have plenty of eye candy !!!
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991)
Slightly crap compared to the original!
Personally I am a huge Bill & Ted fan. Bill & Ted's excellent adventure was the best thing that ever happened to me and I love it to death. In the first film there was something heart warming and charming about the two dudes and their attempts to pass their history exam, sadly a bundle of this charm was lost in Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.
Although Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey had some memorable, funny moments and plenty of hilarious quotes, the plot was a little more dismal and Bill & Ted's mission was a lot less fun and less educational than traveling through history. The story was darker and more complicated, and that's where this film failed in achieving the enjoyable entertainment of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Bill & Ted's personalities are still as lively as ever here, but certain aspects have changed such as the characters, while amusing in their own way it seems they interacted better with the historical figures.
It may be possible my expectations were a little too high for this film, but it was a little disappointing for me since I enjoyed the first movie immensely. Unless you are a Bill & Ted fan, this movie will be less than appealing to you, but I do recommend the first movie, it's suitable for all ages and it's great in bringing you humor and an interesting history lesson.
