Not bad, actually!
22 October 2012
Okay, not incredibly great, but if you're a fan of the novels, you might like this version of the first one. All of the actors do a good job, though I might not have picked certain ones myself for specific roles.

The best actor is Sherri Shepherd, who plays Lula. She really captures the essence of the character from the books! Katherine Heigl is pretty good as Stephanie, and I liked the choice of Ana Reeder for Connie.

The movie goes a bit slowly in parts. It's watchable, but there's not a huge amount of suspense, at least not if you've read the first novel and know what to expect. There are some very good comedic moments in the film, though I wouldn't say the entire film is a laugh riot.

I think this would have been a great start as a two-hour movie pilot for a cable series version of the Stephanie Plum novels, as this film showed a great deal of unrealized potential.

I would say it's worth renting, but don't expect something really spectacular.

Hot in Cleveland (2010–2015)

LOVE it!!

This is a great show! The three main cast members work perfectly together, and of course Betty White in the show is the VERY sweet icing on this cake. Too bad we only get 8 episodes this season, but that's better than none!

The three best friends land in Cleveland, expecting it to be a boring, uncultured town, and to their delight it's a fun and incredible place with men who find them very attractive, and the feeling is mutual.

They decide to stay, but then they find out that a caretaker named Elka (White) comes with the house. Elka is a perfect foil for the trio.

And all of the women in this new "Fab Four" looking amazing!

That's Incredible! (1980–1984)

PLEASE bring it to DVD!!!

Warning: Spoilers
This was one of THE best shows of the 80s!

I remember being parked in front of the TV once a week, dying to see what they were going to showcase that night.

**POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD** One of my favorite episodes was about a woman who bought a painting from a street artist (or a garage sale, or something like that), and she dropped the painting, cracking the back part. When she looked to see if she could repair it, she found a painting behind the backing ... a painting of HERSELF!! She said it looked as if someone had painted what she might look like in ten years. That episode gave me shivers!

The shows about ghosts and unexplained phenomena were my favorites, but I also enjoyed the shows where they exposed frauds, had video game contests, and had people doing unusual stunts.

This show REALLY needs to be put on DVD. Talk about one serious money-maker.

The WORST Twilight Zone episode ...
20 June 2006
This one is a real stinker.

The story just isn't up to par with most other TZ episodes. It's pretty boring, though seeing Peter Falk made up as a Fidel Castro lookalike is kind of amusing.

Whenever Twilight Zone would be aired at an unannounced hour in my hometown, I'd grab a sandwich and a drink and settle in for some quality entertainment. 9 times out of 10, it wound up being THIS episode! Strange thing? This often happened to my mom (another TZ fan like me) as well. There were so many times that one of us would say to the other, "I was all set to watch _The Twilight Zone_ and guess which episode was on? The Cuban Dictator episode!" Obviously some people like this episode, as it gets a 6.7 rating ... how that happened, I have no idea - but THAT in and of itself would make a great Twilight Zone plot!
