Gypsy (2017)
8/10
An intriguing show with an exceptional main character
3 July 2017
Unlike many of the review writers on IMDb, I have watched the full ten episodes before giving my opinion. It's an original plot with intriguing twists. Jean, the main character, kept surprising me with her own disturbing entanglements. Her being a therapist, and a very good one I may add, always on top of her game is almost admirable. It's more than just ironic the way she manipulates peoples' lives, its making the character really original and interesting. It's quite a refreshing and original show, sometimes I would even call it actual art. It's somehow freakish and crazy, but also quite recognizable. 8 out of 10 for originality and leaving all the unanswered questions.

Passengers (I) (2016)
3/10
J.Law & C.Pratt pulled a classic joke (on us)
5 January 2017
I was highly disappointed by this movie. Passengers was a movie with a lot of potential, but it ended up in a plot which even I could have written better. And I'm not a writer, neither have I a creative mind.

Jim's character could have really been expanded into more detail. When Aurora said: "We wouldn't have end up together in real life"; I couldn't agree more; Jim is such a bore.

All the action parts of the movie were highly predictable and over exploited. It almost seemed like it was a cheap knock-off of Titanic.

The acting skills of both of the lead actors were alright, same as usual. Visuals were okay. Music could've been better, and the end could've been more tragic. Even the predictability was predictable at the end.

In the end, I don't regret seeing this movie, because I had such a laugh. AT IT.

Demolition (2015)
10/10
Most original movie in 2016
2 July 2016
FYI: I don't review a lot of movies, except when I feel like I need to tell the world about how they would be missing out if they decided not to watch it. That's how I feel about Demolition. Plus, I've never voted for a 10/10.

Jake Gyllenhaal steals the show, once more. His performance astounds me in every single movie, and just when I thought, oh this may be the first movie I'll watch where he'll disappoint; he does the opposite. I also think that the trailer is way less exciting than the movie.

This story is so honest, refreshing, naked, thrilling, and yet dreamy at the same time. Most of the movie I was sort jealous of them, of the way they are dealing with life. It's disturbing and quite wacky to be honest, but still. The way Naomi Watts and Jake Gyllenhaal portray the characters is phenomenal. Great casting. Also the kid does an amazing job.

This movie portrays how people are far from perfect, and not in a way we've all seen before. It's original, moving, and a pleasure to watch.

The Walk (II) (2015)

honorable tribute to the twin towers
13 December 2015
Wow, this film amazed me on so many levels. At first, I didn't expect much from it. But it is well organized, and super thrilling.

I think this film is a wonderful, honorable tribute to the Twin Towers. For all the people who loved those towers, from the architect, to the citizens of New York. Now the Twin Towers are made infinite. I also love the way Art is a key role in this film. I think Joseph Gordon - Levitt also should receive many credits for his performance. He is the perfect actor for a comedy/action film like this one.

Also Robert Zemickis does an excellent job on the techniques. The scenery is amazing and the towers look more beautiful than ever.

Overall; a pleasure to watch it.

Don Jon (2013)
7/10
Inventive and realistic story
8 April 2015
I know so many guys out there who are exactly the same as this Jon person, and this Barbara, and Joseph Gordon Levitt portrayed these types of people very well in this film. The first 55 minutes I hated it, simply because I hate these kinds of people in real-life. That's how realistic it is, which is a performance I don't experience often. And in a real modern-age story which is especially rare in American movies. After the first 55 minutes were over, no disrespect for Scarlett (she was amazing), it turned out to have a really cool turn of events. Love Juilianne Moore so much and of course, cute Joseph Gordon, well done. Therefore, a 7.
