Krapopolis: Buy Low, Sell Ty (2024)
Season 1, Episode 12
The system was already there, so the joke falls flat.
11 January 2024
This episode made zero sense. They already had a sudo money system, they had a guy chop up animals to "make" change. So all they did was going from a horrible animal abuse system to a metal based system.

The inflation point made sense, but the point would be the same if one year more chickens where born than the last, as now chickens would go down in value.

I know we like to point fingers and laugh at the system, but to be fair it's the best one we got and it has saved billions of lives. A barter system stops being functional at a point. If to many items are on the marked, the distances is to great or to many people are in the systems. Imaging having to barter every time you had to fill your car up, or live in a communist country were you have no say it what you do with your life.

As this was the "joke" of the episode it felt a bit empty and boring. The actors are still good and the animation is okay, but really not a great episode.

Foundation (2021– )
Good visuals, horrible writting.
17 July 2023
I really don't see how this is a adaptation of The Foundation. The visuals are okay, the costumes are passable. But the people are unrealistic and not believable, and I don't mean the actors abilities but the bad writing really gives them nothing to do, not to mention the editing butchering what little could have been saved. To many things are said, to then just be forgotten or countered later on.

I have only read some of the books (The Last Question is my favorit), of Asimov, but this really is more of a insult than a praising of his work. This really shows how far down our entertainment have gone theses last few years. We can't make anything new, and we can't even replicate something great to just be good enough. It's ironic given that the story is about how civilization falls, do to not being able to do something new.

Also the series seems really racist in way, the "barbarians" are all brown people yelling what is equivalent to Allahu akbar. The people that kill smart people on their planet are black people, well almost. I don't know how that functions with were their planet is, and why they don't all have the same tan. The ruling class is white intelligent and technological people, that are brought down by immigration that makes terrorist attacks while yelling prayers. Mind you they have change so much they could have changed that to anything else or anyone else, but they think it's more believable this way.

Really don't like any of the main characters either, they are so smug and generel unlikable, you kinda start rooting for them to get killed off by episode 5, just so you can go back to the 3 emperors storyline instead.

I will give it starts for being Sci-fi, and having good CGI, but they lose points on acting and the idea this is somehow connected to one of our worlds greatest writers.

It can't do anything right.
15 September 2022
It's a superhero series without the super and it's trying to be a law series too, but it can't even do the courtroom scene right. So I am really lost as to who this is aimed for, as it not only does one thing poorly it actively insults the genre of each with how badly it's made.

Not even the CGI can save it, as it's part of the really bad thing too, as not only are the looks in the uncanny valley but the sizes of her keeps changing too depending on where in the shot she is, like there was not way for the artist to make it consistent.

And the "jokes", I am using quantitation marks here as anything else would be a insult to comedians, are very flat and some are almost comically bad, though they don't even seem to be able to hit that level of comedy.

This is why not everyone should be a writer.
18 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So this is another example of the need for better writers. If Hulk blod is so dangerous it needs to be destroyed, even when they are in human blod, wouldn't that mean She hulk should be locked up once a month ? As not only is blood a threat in case somebody gets it to make something out of, just being around it is enough to give you a lethal dose of radiation, there is no way she isn't triggering all radiation sites all the time, she would be a hassard to nuclear defense just walking around.

Not to mention if she ends up having sex with anyone they are going to get killed by cancer, so she would be committing a murder really.

And the blood just needs to touch you it seems, or did the writers for get a wound isn't a 2 way street for blood, as there is pressure pushing out of a wound to make sure as little as possible gets in, other blood even less so.

Then there is all this trouble with her being a mary sue, she can do it all in less time than a weekend last. So there is no journey or hardship involved in this, as she only got the up side of it all, there is a joke about woman having it easier than men right here I guess.

The jokes, if we call them that, was not that great and took to much of the time. The CGI was meh, the acting was fine but they really din't give them anything to really work with.

The Orville: Domino (2022)
Season 3, Episode 9
God damn it, now it's better than Star Trek ever was.
28 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
You made me tear up over a character that I disliked at first. Not only this but the story does not feel forced or campy at all. Not only do you have two meanings of the name of this episode, but the first was simply a smoke screen for the second, which made it hit even harder when revealed.

This no really is more like small movies, and I got to say they are better than many released today, as you really go through the story WITH the characters in the show, you are not just told what they are but shown through their actions, and they have meaning and thought behind them.

Only thing I dislike is that I can't give it one more star, as all the episodes have been really strong and some have been 10's but this one is even a bit above those.

Well done to all involved.

The Orville: Midnight Blue (2022)
Season 3, Episode 8
This isn't a show, it's a Miniseries, as each episode feels more like a movie.
22 July 2022
This made me think of Babylon 5 when we got to the assembly scene, which is a good thing. This is way more than I ever expected of a series that started out more like a spoofing of Star Trek, it has long gone left that role, and is now more it's own universe that I actually want to live in and knew more about. I really hope this get's a BD release and some more toys and models, not to mention a technical book about the ships, weapons and so on. As not only are the people real in the show, it also remembers to treat it's equipment like that too, as things take time to repair and don't just magically do it on it's own.

The Orville: From Unknown Graves (2022)
Season 3, Episode 7
Almost a movie or 3 episodes in one.
15 July 2022
Where other shows give us maybe 20-25 min of episodes The Orville gives us almost a whole movie, or 3 episodes in one. Not only is this a diplomatic episode, it's also a love story and a origin story that could have been episodes in their own rights. I really hope this comes out as a Bluedisc collection at some point as I really want to save this show for the future. Thank you Seth for saving sci-fi for future generations.

The Orville: Twice in a Lifetime (2022)
Season 3, Episode 6
Time travel with an actual moral quastion
9 July 2022
Not only do we see that time travel changes ones idea of what is actually possible to demand of a human, imaging being along for years while knowing you would have to do it for the rest of your life. It truly shows the errors of the Unions rules, and also the moral the crew have to have to go thought with them.

In the end the Captain is right to do what he did, as from our perspective we don't know what would happen if it was allowed to go on. But he takes no joy in it, and as we see from Gordons view he does not have the feelings and memories to be angry about the call, as he knows it is the right one because he hasn't been affected by the flow of time yet.

The only character I feel is pushed way to much into the episode is the new helms girl, I really don't like her arc or personality. I kinda see her as the Orvilles own Wesley.

Wow, just like old trek.
22 June 2022
Not only does it feel like Trek now, it has evolved into it's own thing. And I am presently surprised that Seth things about the same things I do, and comes to the same conclusion that the want to see the next thing is a powerful thing.

Halo: Homecoming (2022)
Season 1, Episode 4
So boring I started watering the plants
15 April 2022
Why is this so boring, I mean it's technically sci-fy, but it just feels so much more like a teen drama. It's properly a 2 star show, but so many keep praising it and giving it 10 stars like it's bots or something.

It seems the writers don't know sciences or biology, as they keep doing stupid things and just hand weaving it away with more drama. Not only are spartans nothing in this show, they are also highly emotional all the time even with a "implant" or beat in the back that is said to remove them, it does not work, properly because it isn't connected to any tissue as it pops right out with no effort or surgery.... It's so dumb it hurts.

Halo: Emergence (2022)
Season 1, Episode 3
Off with the helmet, on with the emotions and breakdowns.
7 April 2022
Not only does this not feel like Halo, but they actively go in and make it worse it seems. As not only is MC a emotional wreak, but we keep seeing them make dumb moves and add stuff that makes no sense. Why can the human control worms and does Airlocks not work on human ships, and no one seems to target the little girl clearly in control of the worms... Why ?

It's like it goes from meh, to why the hell did they do that all the time. As if they don't know how to write sci-fy, but that they also want to make it clear they don't want to use anything actual made for Halo. The only things we can point to being the same is the odd name here and there, but the characters seems nothing like what we knew and loved. They are either changed physically or emotionally into something twisted and cursed.

It's clear this would have been done better if they hadn't linked it to Halo, as they then wouldn't have to be compared to better things, and would by simply virtue of being something else be judge better. But that isn't what they did so we have to compare them, and they fall short by a mile to live up to what we are use to in this universe.

Even people that know nothing about Halo actually finds this forgettable and kind meh, but even hat would be better praises than what it gets now by linked up to the Halo universe.

This isn't the Silver Timeline, it's the Lead Timeline. Slow and heavy to move on and harmful to harmful to digest because it damages your brain.

Bel-Air (2022– )
Very unrealistic and boring.
7 April 2022
This seems more of a parody than the old one, as everything seems so unreal and just keeps moving on that road and gets worse by the minut, not even episode.

And so so boring, like I can't describe how boring this show its's, but I started doing laundry in the middle of a episode and had more fun doing that, so i ended up turning it off.

This show really just prove that the star of the show was really the writers and Will only was good on the screen.

Halo: Unbound (2022)
Season 1, Episode 2
Oh boy that was a lot of talking for a FPS based show
31 March 2022
It feels like they have hired not only people that don't know the Halo univers at all, but are entirely new to writing a show.

Not only was this boring to watch, it was almost painful at times.

And the worst thing it's not just the writing it's also the look of the show and the slaughter of all that good lore they could have used.

It's hard to tell in the show if the enemy is really well know or not at all know by the humans in this univers. Because on the on hand we get to see how they are totally a new thing for some, while others have been taken and released by them, and their attacks are well known and the sources of many technologies people use in their daily lives or have seen, but they are still being told to us through the writing as being something more of a myth ? Please pick a lane, what they hell are they, in Halo games it was pretty clear when where and how they where known and fitted in, here in two episodes it feels like they are telling two different things.

And again with the helmet off in a room with all the guns pointed at him, why just why. Not even being a supers soldier I can see that as a bad tactic, as all it takes is one nervous, badly trained or glory seeker to end it all.

We also see that not all super soldiers are all that super, they are not like the games larger than life, but also comes in what looks like 5.8 sizes, because reasons I guess. And whats up with him talking stereotypical like a black man, are they saying it's genetics or something. They should all talk and act more like machines at that point, that's all they have learned, unless they have given speciel lessons to some. Not to mention it feels so off that all the Spartans are not buzz cut, they are again more like machines here, why do the females have long hair, as it's not practical or easy to maintain inside a helmet, whats next hair extensions and died hair...... oh god it's going to be died hair isn't it, with the something along the lines of "I finally found myself".

This is really trash compared to all the short movies that have been around for years, "forward until dawn " is a freaking goldmine compared to this.

Should you buy acces to this or for this. Absolutely not, I wouldn't even say you should download it as it's waste of bandwidth.

Halo (2022– )
Not a diehard fan. But it's bad.
24 March 2022
Firstly I have only really played 2 or 3 Halo games, so I am not a great lore or history sources on the univers, but it felt so really off even I could see it.

Like the human working with the covenant, the lack of AI personas not already in use, Dr. Catherine Halsey having a biological daughter and mostly Master Chief being so wrong on so many levels. Like the voice, the face, the manners and even the speech and skills seems off. Like we know that he even can't look like Pablo Schieiber, as we have seen him as a child and knows his hair color and shape of his nose even.

Okay, might be a different timeline, fine. But the disrespect of him relying on a teenage kid to solve a problem is beyond belief, not to mention presenting his face as a target for her too right after her stating he killed his mother during a assassination. Not only does that make little sense to use you MOST know soldier for that, but that he also somehow leaves witnesses to that alive is really even worse, as that paints him not only as a killer but as a incompetent one at that.

Also weapons are as efficient as the people holding them in this show, as the same weapon that was ineffective before, will become more powerful if picked up by a Spartan or visa versa.

It get's two stars, as it gets 5 for effects and cinematic, but as it gets minus 3 for taking the univers and pissing on it we end up at 2.

This was a let down of a final episode.
9 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The two first of his henchmen I liked got thrown of a cliff, and the Vesper Power ranger teenage angst team survives....... Why, please just kill them off, not only do they feel out of place, they are not good characters or actors either, and they fight very poorly and with bad weaponry too, evne people living out in a desert have better weapons than them, and I am not even talking about Freetown. They are also controlling Bobba somehow and talking back to him WTF is this and why are they still alive.

Where the rancor riding came from I don't know, it's been said it was possible with training because it was said to be done in old tales, yet it seems super easy to do with no training what so ever. And why did the power rangers open fire on it, they know it's Boba Fett's, they have even seen him ride it.

The droids seems hardly a treat as you can run from them in a straight line and they can't hit you, or hide behind a sand wall and the lasers are stop by it. Yes, the military grade weapons used to fights tanks and spaceships are stopped by tightly packed sand, why this have never been used as amour before I don't know.

The end scenes where Cad is killed is cheap, but is vastly surpassed by how bad Fennec killing all the enemy leaders somehow is, we are not shown how she shoots trough the house to kill them, but they clearly should have used more sand to avoid it. She even passe a nose through the structure somehow to hang one of them, we can actually see the roof in some frames being barely over the peoples head in the room, yet she is either hiding inside somehow or passing it trough the roof at some point. It is just silly how that was done.

What is worse it makes the Mandolorian worse, as what was the point of it all if Grogu just comes back anyway, why show Luke or the training at all ?

Not to mention it was the best way to remove the horrible 3 movies from the series, as this could have been the start of actual Star Wars, but a gain we end up with something that is bare worth watching, because we know it means nothing in the end.

I will give it stars for style, acting(main) and CGI only, the writing is sup par but better than the new movies, so I am guessing it's better somewhow.

This feel like a spoof movie of the matrix
22 December 2021
There wasn't a red tread through the movie, there was a ball of yarn that somebody had set on fire.

There was points where we would laugh out loud, not because of the comedy that was inserted into the movie, but because of silly things on screen, mistakes, bad CGI and plotholes. There is a moment in this movie where a helicopter disappears completely for like 2-4 min, only to return right where it should have been all the time, so it again can shoot at the main actors, it made no sense but someone must have forgot it was there from the start.

Like I said this is more like a spoof movie of the Matrix, it really has no connection that makes sense to the old movies, and the story isn't moved forward in any meaningful way. A hero journey is also only as good or interesting as the villain in the story, and here they are all bad, it's more bad boys in a ally than a threat you feel could be a actual problem.

Hit-Monkey (2021–2024)
Decent show, almost great but the ending tanked it.
22 November 2021
It was a fun ride that made decent amount of sense, until the ending, man that was the stupidest thing I have seen in a long time. It made zero sense, and if all it takes it putting on a mask to be good in the next season, instead of a lifetime of training or skills then it's only going to be 4 out of 10.

It could have ended on a high note, and been something to look forward to, but it ended where so many new series ends with a big Meh. Where did all the good writers and producers go, it's like we have run out of them or something.

Am I to European ?
19 July 2021
Not only is filled with a lot of unfunny humor, but it's almost like it's only one joke told over and over again.

I like the Voice actors, so a star for them, and the animation isn't bad (as it is Netflix). And the last star is for at least daring to use racists jokes and assumptions, they where not funny, but given it's Netflix that made it, I was at least surprised to see that so much racist stuff actual made into the movie.

That's about it for this movie, it's a hour plus Adult Swim episode really. It's not really anything new, funny or necessary. Would have liked a bit more time consistency, as there was no reason not to mave it. Like instead of Thomas Edison you could have used Benjamin Franklin instead, as Benjamin could be used as a girls name in some countries. Would also have fit with the lightning more than Edison, and would have been in line with the other main "heroes".

Should you take time see the movie ? NO Should you but it on if you have nothing better to do ? No, go to sleep instead.

There isn't a reason to see it, not even for the cringe or lols of it.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch: Common Ground (2021)
Season 1, Episode 10
Why go on missions ?
2 July 2021
Why do they go on missions, I mean it seems to be a waste of time and ressources. As they sometimes even seems to end up owing more than when they started, and here they go for a VIP mission, yet a game of children chess earns more money than that ? HOW and why we are not told, but it would seem somebody bet their ship or something.

The mission was boring with way to many cuts back to Omega, had hope we finally would get a episode focusing on the name sakes of the show, but atlas yet again we don't. It was yet another filler, it really seems the Star Wars magic is gone.

Loki: Lamentis (2021)
Season 1, Episode 3
This was really bad and full of holes.
24 June 2021
One sentences sums this episode up for me, it's when we in the distances see the city with a time goal on it, and we are told there is 1 minut left, yet they still make it, like how ?

The female "not" Loki acting is bad, like a total miscast. There isn't a spark or chemistry to be found, and as a villein she is laughably weak and dumb. Which means the TVA is even worse, as she walks though those agents like they where wheat in a field.

Loki does not even feel like himself, he keeps not using his powers when they would help, and do things Loki from the MCU or comics never would, small easy mistakes that lead to his downfall all the time.

This felt more like a dr. Who episode, and not from the good seasons we are talking the 13th doctor bad here.

I can't give it bonus bonus for. Tom anymore, so it's score is really low as it's only based on the actual episode, and it was boring and dull for the most of it. They really don't know how to move forward it seems, it's like they lost the thing that made the movies great.

Loki: The Variant (2021)
Season 1, Episode 2
So why is this episode worse than the last.
16 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
You might ask why only 4/10, well the last got 5/5 because it was just meh. This was "meh" with "really, why do that" moment so it lose a star for that.

The episode stars with showing yet more dismal field agent, one of them looks and thinks like a teenage girl, yeah these are the people that would be sent out to try to stop Thanos in case he made a time ops. I think the timelords... eh sorry Time-Keepers, active just plan around stronger opponents, so they never have to actually fight somebody strong.

Because all we keep seeing is the field agents being taken out really easy, in melee distances where their weapons shine. They might as well have sent the people in their offices, as they would be equally as good in a fight.

It also brings to mind why even go into a fight ? Why not just drop a bomb though the portal, as you are going to do that anyway, and you delete "reset" the person too, so just do it all together. There isn't any reason given why this isn't done, as it makes sense to do just that.

My guess of a female Thor from the first episode also turned out to be right on the money, yet I still found myself surprised. Not at how it was revealed or anything like that, but by how little she looks like Loki or acts like him. Not just Loki in the show, but also from the comics. As for some reason they have chosen a blond women, instead of a dark haired one, and she also looks much older than Loki which is weird too, and the costume is really boring too. I mean there are cosplayers out there doing a better job on a way lover budget.

Also a weird thing is one of the field agents keep bringing momentous back, that are then taken away by his superior, for some reason. And she then keeps them, even though she din't earn or work for them other than stealing them from a man. I don't know if this a commentary about women in power taking pride in something they din't earn them self. But I am not a fan of that idea, and don't know why it needed to be in the episode at all, as it makes no sense.

I guess this is really just for the fanboys, as there are too many dumb things in the show for now, we will se if they hired a competent writer and actors for the next episode.

Loki: Glorious Purpose (2021)
Season 1, Episode 1
I don't get the hype ? Is it all the pre-scening or fanboys
16 June 2021
I really can't see this living up to the hype. The show is kinda all over the place, and it's not really totally bad, but it sure ain't great either.

The TVA is supposedly a super powerful organisation, yet their armed forces die of angle high fires and they use a stick to attack with...... So I guess having a gun or lighter would make you immune to them.

Loki is lacking in this shown it feels like he really isn't there, but he and the other main guy is really the only think holding the show above "meh". The supporting cast is really lacking, both in acting, looks and feeling.

These are again people above The hulk, Thanos and so on in power, yet they don't look like they could fight ordinary people and win, other than by luck. I have seen one agent that could take a normale person out, he died to angle high fire. The rest you could out fight, out run or out smart really easy.

I also suspect the variant to be a woman, as it seems that is a plus to be in this version of the Marvel universe. As we see weird praises and positions through the show filled by women, and most supporting areas filled with weak men that don't know what a fish is, I mean seriously they are suppose to control ALL time and space.

All in all I don't know who would give it 10/10, other than crew and actors really as this feels more like a youtube project than anything else.

I would say it's okay to see to pas the time, but don't schedule you life after it, it's not important and properly won't be a long running show.

More like a slideshow than animation.
8 April 2021
Couldn't even get through episode one, which is a shame as the idea seems fun, and reminds me of other shows that did the same. But it felt like a dial up modem showing a gif, like the fps was 2-3 at some points even 1. It totally killed the show and really shows why Netflix and western companies in generel shouldn't mix with the Japanese animation studios, as they keep ruin what could be good shows. Just look at crunchyroll and how horrible bad their shows are too, and they are even suppose to be inside the know of anime.

This was horrible to watch
6 April 2021
Never seen other shows link to this, but I seen people writ about them. But I can only judge what I have seen and boy it's bad compared to shows like Venture Brothers that Adult Swim also made. Really hope this does not stick around and they instead give us some good shows to watch or use the money on more seasons of some of the good shows instead. As of now this seems like a waste of money and I would say talent but that would clearly be a lie, as it does not seem to be any in the show or behind it either.
