The book is far better
14 July 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I'm going to agree with several of the reviews on this one, the book is far better. The script was bland, the acting was terrible, ("Bella, you love me!" "Well, I am the hot one!"), the special effects sucked, and Dakota Fanning as one of the head vampires? Bad move. Kristen Stewart cannot act, and neither can Rob Patterson. Sorry, and I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of negative comments from the teenage crowd from writing this.

Maybe, it's the fact that I prefer dark, and mysterious vampire movies? This movie was like a Disney movie, cute & fluffy. Even the scene where the good vampires fight the bad vampires was ridiculous!

The only two characters I liked were Jasper, and Alice. The actors who played them actually brought the characters to life! Kristen couldn't bring Bella to life, nor Rob on Edward. It was just terrible, terrible acting!

Worth the wait
27 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
(This is the same review I submitted to Amazon.com, and I have posted on my website.)

**This review contains spoilers**

This movie was great! Ten times more funnier than the TV shows, and you get to see a lot of added detail that is not allowed on the show. The characters utter a few curses, and you get to see one of the main characters in the nude.

The plot goes like this: the family is at the theater watching, "The Itchy and Scratchy movie," where Homer announces that it is stupid to pay for a movie when you can watch the cartoon at home. He then points his finger at the screen, and the movie begins.

Springfield is on the breakdown of an ecological crisis. The mayor decides that action must be taken, or the town will become a living landfill. Homer manages to foil the plan by dumping toxic waste into the town's water supply. Once the EPA cracks down on Springfield it's up to Homer to save the day.

I can honestly say this has got to the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I swear I was laughing so hard I was crying! The drawings and art work were perfect, the sound was crystal clear and the jokes were non-stop. Sure, there are some cuss words and other things, but who cares? This movie was awesome.

10 stars

Quite a good short
26 March 2007
This was a short (20 min) that was played today on TCM in between movies.

It starts out with an officer telling the viewers that the short that is about to be played is a dramatized version of a counterfeiter in action.

The short then tells a story about a gang of counterfeiters and how they make their money and pass it on to unsuspected people.

I thought it was quite good, for the time. Kinda sappy at times, but all in all it brought a good message to the 1940s public, "Crime doesn't pay."

A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965 TV Movie)
10/10
Perfect Holiday Movie
10 December 2004
One of the best Holiday movies of all time, I wonder why it's not on the AFI top 100 list?

****CAUTION SPOILERS*** THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH TELLS THE READER WHAT THE MOVIE IS ABOUT, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, PLEASE DON'T READ ANY FURTHER.

In case you haven't seen the movie, here is how it goes. Charlie Brown (a local boy who seems to fail in everything he does), is upset because no one has given him a Christmas card, plus all of his friends seem to have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. All his sister wants for Christmas are toys, she says, "I want what's coming to me." Charlie buys a tiny Christmas tree for the Christmas play, but it's made fun of by his friends. Fed up with everybody, Charlie finally yells, "Does anyone know the true meaning of Christmas?" What happens next is one of the best scenes in a Christmas movie ever! Charlie's friend stands up and announces to everyone in the room the true meaning of Christmas, quoting from the Bible.

Very "cute" movie
23 November 2004
Warning: Spoilers
What can I say about this movie...it was cute. I'm surprised Disney didn't make this movie.

***********CAUTION SPOILERS*************************

If you've read all 6 of the Samantha books, you should know that they didn't exactly follow the series. Pretty much the story goes; Samantha's favorite Uncle Gard brings home his new bride, Cornelia. While that is going on, Samantha makes friends with the servant girl next door, Nellie. After Uncle Gard's wedding, he decides to take Samantha back to New York City with him to live. Weeks after the arrival, they get word that Nellie's father has died and she and her sister's are living in an orphanage. If you've read the books, you should know what happens next. The only part that wasn't in the movie, that was in the books were; Samantha's birthday and her camping trip. Of course, Cornelia's twin sister's weren't in the movie either.

This is a really cute movie, I think it should have been rated "G", or perhaps "E" for everyone, instead of PG.

The Hollow (2004 TV Movie)
8/10
A really great family movie
24 October 2004
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is actually really good! The story takes place in current day Sleepy Hollow and follows off where the legend ends.

The actors are perfect for the part, the story is well written and the acting is OK.

This movie is mostly for families, if you want to see the "blood and guts" version of this legend, this movie is not for you. I'm in my 20s and I really liked the plot of this movie, I really didn't like the acting.

WARNING SPOILERS: The summary of this movie is that a new family moves to town, who happen to be related to Ichabod Crane. The headless horseman has sensed their arrival and is awaken from the dead. It's up to the family to get rid of the headless horseman before it's too late.
