Beck: Det tysta skriket (2007)
Search and you shall find.
Two young girls are killed on railway by a passing train. It does not seem to fit the profile of a normal suicide. So if this is a double homicide who would do this and why? Martin Beck and his team start following the step backwards in order to figure out what has happened. With good and intensive police work they find man side trails from the main path.
I think this movie was average on the Beck-scale, however along with many other Beck movies: it is seldom clear who is responsible until the end. And who wants to see a movie when the outcome is clear to the viewer when the 2 first minutes has passed?
Beck: Den svaga länken (2007)
Up to date drama-thriller
A young girl is killed on her way back to her parents home after leaving a party. Martin Beck and his crew quickly starts the hunt for evidence before the trail goes cold. There are several suspicious people to investigate but do they really know how everyone is connected to one and other?
I've seen pretty much all the Beck-movies and the newer ones are still very watchable. A good ensemble of well-known Swedish actors help make this a very good crime-drama-thriller. Very up to date with the Swedish crime debate too.
See it.
Poliser (2006)
Tragic and interesting
Poliser really surprised me in a good way. Here we get to see and follow the life of several men and women all working for the Police in Gothenburg Sweden.
Beneath the surface we see normal family problems as well as extraordinary and highly illegal problems, both affecting their private and professional life. Problems like the investigator having to buy drugs for his using daughter, and the cop who will bend every rule available to get what he wants, even if that involve murder.
The actors are totally unfamiliar to me but they are really good so I would recommend people to watch this one, give it a chance and I'm almost certain that you wont be disappointed.
Best new drama this fall! //Svanne
