The Peripheral (2022)
Great series, not for the easily confused
It's clear from these reviews the more simple minded among us can't process the plot line, get lost, confused and frustrated. Rather than admit they can't figure it out, they whine and bash a great show with petty comments (that truly just highlight their own mental failures).
Decent show with a complicated plot line. No one is quite what they appear to be and sometimes friends are truly the bad guys and enemies are serving the greater good... or are they.
Little does more to break the modern short attention span laden brains than "time travel" stories. Even though this isn't truly time travel the convoluted explanations baffle those who lack the processing power to comprehend it. They need quick car chases, simple one dimensional characters and no complicated science ideas...
Ultimate Cowboy Showdown (2019)
How to be the least cowboy you can be
Thought the idea was great. The first season wasn't horrible, but after that they clearly wanted to turn this in to "redneck housewives", promoting drama, division and undignified attitudes.
The moment I could no longer watch ch from was when on cowboy took responsibility for his decision and Trace told him he was never allowed to talk like that again or he would be gone.
Really? Telling a cowboy being humble and responsible was the worst thing he could do? Is clear they weren't looking for cowboys but drama queens. It's sad to see Trace encouraging pathetic petty squabbles and back biting. Encouraging contestants to not take any responsibility and "rewarding" some for being petty, and dishonorable people.
Another Life (2019)
Pleasant sci-fi romp. Sentient AI's, diverse crew with plenty of flaws and aliens hell bent on control.
Well worth the time to watch, and far better than most other sci-fi offerings in recent times. Has drama, action and humor. This will definitely be a series I will re-watch, I hope it keeps going. So many of these great shows get cancelled and only get appreciated and grow a cult following g after they are gone.
Breaking In (2011)
Season one ok, season two was unwatchable
The writing in season one was weak, but the idea was decent and with some improved writing could have been a decent show. Season two however lost everything that made the show worth watching and tried to make a halfassed comedic farce with a new characters (and loss of old ones with no explanation) that fell flat at every turn. They never did 'jobs' anymore and it became this awkward show centered around the 'new boss' who was eccentric and quirky and had nothing to do with the basic premise of the show.
Season two's follies are the shining example of how to murder a show.
