Secret Invasion (2023)
Want Marvel to be great again? Keep waiting.
This story was as tired as Nick Fury. I was hoping to see something along similar lines as Captain America Winter Soldier. Nope. I kept hoping for something in this story to spark. It never did. This is what happens when you try to retcon your cinematic world's history. Nothing flows as if it were natural, because so many things are undoing or devaluing what took place before. The only characters that I found interesting were killed off. I kept waiting for some type of emotional payout for those deaths, but they were pointless. I was also very bothered by the poor quality of the Skrulls. They were well done in Captain Marvel, but here they looked like cheap prosthetics.
Save your time for something better.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Silly, Not Funny
I feel like the quality of Marvel Studios movies are steadily decreasing. This movie turns Thor into a joke. While there are some serious moments, the rest of the movie might as well have been written for young children. I love Taika Watiti, but I feel like someone should have reined him in on this movie with the question of 'really?' That's what you want to do in this scene? So your audience is five years old?
The Invisible Man (2000)
Will the 2nd season ever be availablefor purchase?
This was an incredible show that ended way too soon. I became a lifelong fan of Vincent Ventresca after watching this. 22 years later, and I still keep hoping that the 2nd season will be released to buy somehow, digitally or via DVD. I don't understand why it never has been.
Stormageddon (2015)
Good scifi movie
The plot was a little confusing and the backstory didn't help, but the special effects were good, and the acting wasn't bad. One of the better made for tv scifi flicks.
All in Time (2015)
Wonderful story, great music, interesting twist
The music of the film drew me in; I've been a fan of the band the film's band is based on for nearly 20 years. I was prepared to like the movie just for the music, but the story moves me to tears every time I see it. It conveys the ups and downs of life perfectly, and carries the viewer along with the film's main character as he experiences a roller coaster of life and love experiences.
The cast clearly put a lot of emotion and energy into making this film. Nothing kills a movie faster than an actor giving the impression of not caring about the role, or even finding it distasteful. You won't find that in this film. It captures some of the quirks of Pennsylvania living and showcases the beauty of the city of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
You won't be sorry you chose to watch this film.
