Possible Spoilers...................
I know most debates of Shari Moon Zombie's acting waver as good or bad, and she is a one note kind of actress, but she fits perfectly in this role. I do wish she wasn't in dred locks the whole time, although it suits the character. The soundtrack immediately made me think of "Susperia", the witches reminded me of "Mother of Tears", and most of the imagery and staging had me comparing this movie to Dario Argento's work. So it is difficult for me to review this movie because I spent most of my time playing the "which Argento movie is this from" game. Which is not a bad thing. This movie will probably not be as cult favorite as "House of 1000 Corpses", but it is worth a look. The radio station scenes are a hoot because for some reason it makes me think of "WKRP in Hell". And there are some actors I've not seen in a long time like Judy Geeson from the first rising of the Hammer hey-day, Andrew Prine who I thought was dead, and Dee Wallace Stone who was unrecognizable until I saw the credits. It is a fun sort of movie for moviephiles who like to argue about what ideas were cribbed from other flicks with each other, but I didn't find it particularly scary. I paid to see it. I suggest if you have premium or cable where they don't edit it, wait until then so you can save a few bucks.
