I do enjoy this show but the script is truly lacking. Someone called it the poor mans Hannibal and I completely agree. It does way too much at the same time as doing too little. Everything is there.. the story, the quirks, the subtle hits of darkness but the script & lack of climax will send this series to an early grave. If there is a season 2 I hope the producers push it to meet its potential! Or at least choose if this is a police drama or actual psychological thriller... skirting the lines of both makes it hard to give either audience what they're looking for!

Poetic Psychological Philosophical Thrill Ride

I would argue this as artwork. Beautiful, tragic, thought provoking & spellbinding. Series like Hannibal don't come around often enough. I've watched it in it's entirety, the last season's pace was unusual but I am SO unbelievably glad I watched until the end.

Well done Netflix!

Slow series but the last episode packs a punch. Very well acted & written. The emotions and statements the victims made felt very similar to my own feelings after assault. Overall a superb, honest depiction of sexual assault and the chaos that follows. The distrust and accusations towards victims. The deterioration of relationships. Learning to navigate life in a state of fear. And how one person's dedication and determination could completely shift those tides. I'm honestly so happy this series was made.

Genuine Teen Story

Trinkets at least shines a light on addiction from a teenage perspective. It's a compulsion. A coping mechanism formed by different walks of people for all very different reasons. I applaud Netflix for creating a less glamorous + dramatic story of teen trauma (euphoria, 13 reasons why, etc) that is digestible and enjoyable to watch.

Mixed Emotions

This show makes me uncomfortable. It rattles me and I find it hard to watch which I guess a show like this aims for. Its a hard look at reality, not my reality & maybe not yours but someone's. The cinematography is exquisite and I do love the acting. Overall a good show but not something that is 'bingeable' without an emotional hangover.

I LOVED IT (sorry, shouting for the people in the back)

The entire world feels fresh. Gestalt alone is a mesmerizing and original idea. As someone who hasn't read the book, I loved this series so far. It isn't your cookie cutter show with a cookie cutter lead actress and cookie cutter action. It's slow, different and isn't trying to please the masses.

Good Witchy TV

I genuinely love this show and I'm still sad it's over. If you're a fan of charmed, please drop what you're doing. Right now. This is not a drill. And go watch Witches of East End. All I have to say is you are welcome.

Why not?

Is it bad? No. Is it obsession worthy? No. Do i want to want another season? Yes please. If you like supernatural/fantasy give it a go. The script/characters lacked depth for me which is why this is a 7 but still an enjoyable watch.
Shadowhunters

Season 1 is a snooze, 2 & 3 are worth your time!

I watched the first few episodes and was completely disappointed. I stopped watching altogether after that. Until a few weeks ago I had nothing to watch and binged season 1, 2 & most of 3. I'm telling you.. it gets much better. The character development, script and acting vastly improve by season 2 and into season 3. Give it a chance if you're a fan of the books or like fantasy!

Nothing is Black & White

This show blurs the lines of "good and bad" and shines a spotlight on the complexities of human nature. Hands down one of the best thriller series I've seen. Recommend it to anyone who likes intricate psychological thrillers.
This isn't cookie cutter television. After each episode you will have the characters and events turning over in your head. I could go on about the superb casting, beautifully interwoven details and subtle tones but I'll let you find out for yourself.

Give it a try & don't listen to all these bad reviews!!!

Okay, so I actually NEVER review shows but come on people!? Somewhere Between is actually a really interesting show with dynamic characters and boat loads of suspense. I'm confused by all of the negative reviews.
No, I've never seen the original Korean series so I didn't have the same expectations going into this. However, I did read these reviews. I actually deleted my recording and wasn't even going to give it a chance. Thankfully my parents told me they loved it. So I watched the first episode... then the second... then the third. My only complaint? I can't binge the rest of the series yet.
Is it the best show I've ever watched? No. Is it good TV? Yes.
I recommend you give it a try as well.

A Must See For Any Woman
19 October 2013
If a man is reading this, I'm sorry this show is not for you. But for all of the ladies, you will love this show.
There's romance, mystery, and drama all set in the 1500s at the French Court. The shows seems like a mash up of Pride & Prejudice, Gossip Girl, and Vampire Diaries. I've only watched the first episode and I am completely hooked.
This show isn't like other dull teen series that drag on; there is a love triangle, deception, magic, political struggle, death, and beautiful costumes all introduced in the pilot episode.
Bottom line, I would recommend this show to any woman I know.
