The Last Lear (2007)
Watch "The Last Lear" to see the layerings of emotion.
Just got to watch this movie few days back and found it really interesting. Not only Big B,the entire stars in the movie have given an excellent performance. This perhaps is among the best of the movies that each star have worked in on the basis of acting.Rituparno Ghosh is one of the finest storytellers from Bengal and for this film,he chose Utpal Dutt's play 'Aajker Shahjahan' .The movie is in English and is an absolute treat for all those people who love watching movies specially art film. The awesome combination of Amitabh Bachchan and Rituparno Ghosh can not be missed. Watch "The Last Lear" to see the layerings of emotion that the director extends into his narration without losing sight of the lightness of touch in the outer crust.
Dosar (2006)
Need these issues to be raised
Dosar was the first movie which touches my heart and make me cry.I felt the pain of a wife betrayed by her husband. Most of the women in our country are facing these kind of situations and living with their husbands just because of their duties towards their marriage.I am happy, some have raised this issue through this movie Dosar and we all should thank Rituparno Ghosh and Planman production for giving us such a nice movie.
The film stars Konkona Sen and Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead role. The best thing about this movie is there is nothing in the film that can be ignored.Be it acting, screenplay, story or direction.
Do Dooni Chaar (2010)
Love super-strong dose of moral science lessons used in this movie
The movie is about Duggal's who were happy with their life of struggle and compromises until an odd situation inspires them to upgrade their vehicle from a scooter to a car.Though Santosh Duggal is susceptible to situations, what makes him a true hero is the fact that he never resorts to anything dishonest.
The focus of the film is on dialog's between the characters that are simple, likable and very easy to relate to.What weighs the film up is the super-strong dose of moral science lessons. Must watch movie for all the middle class families as this is the perfect movie you all can relate to your own family.
I Am 24 (2010)
A decent movie.
I m 24 is Saurabh Shukla directed film.It stars Rajat Kapoor,Ranvir Shorey,Neha Dhupia and Manjari Fadnis in the lead roles. It is the latest comedy film produced by Planman motion pictures. I M 24 is the story about truth, lies and all this related to a 42 years old man. Shubendu is this male protagonist played by Rajat Kapoor. For him speaking the truth was always best and easiest of task until one day he meets Kanika, played by Manjari Fadnis. Ranvir Shorey plays the role of Gagandeep who is also a friend of Shubendu.Shubendu always believed in truth is forced to lie, make stories to impress the girl who is almost half his age. Its about the funny ride of how he goes on and on to tell lies until one day he realizes all this one day had to come to an end. The simple and honest Shubendu started enjoying all these also because his friend Gagandeep was there for him.Manjari as Kanika is good. Neha Dhupia as Sheela Nair is also superb in her role. Rajat and Ranvir are the pillars of this film who have provided a very strong foundation to it. without them I M 24 would not have been complete.A small budget film without any superstar but I m 24 is a decent comedy.
Rok Sako To Rok Lo (2004)
Feel good look to the Indian cinema
The movie revolves around the lives of five young individuals, namely Dev, Suhana, Bajji, Rati and Ganguly who are the prize possession of a modest Bharti school. The entry of the adversary is dynamic and quite enterprising. The typical rich brats of Valley High School, who look as though they have everything but actually are missing out on the main aspects of life
.Living it.The movie is a contemporary blend of good actors, actresses, director and crew.Over all the movie is definitely a job well done and we hope that Planman Life and Arindam Chaudhuri go beyond the stop sign. The movie has brought in a refreshing feel good look to the Indian cinema.
