What's with all the hate?
15 January 2021
I adored this show! It was something different and something for the senses! If you're into period romances, this is definitely for you! If that's not quite your style, maybe give it a go anyway? Go in with no expectations and just enjoy it for what it is! Don't listen to the haters - listen to the fact it was one of the most streamed TV Shows of December 2020! (For good reason.)

I'm off to buy the books!

Light hearted, easy watch that can't be taken seriously!
14 September 2020
I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. I put it on because the trailer drew me in, and sure, it's cheesy! But what teen rom com isn't? Is it believable? No way. Does it completely make sense? Nope. Does it draw you in, keep you interested and put a massive smile on your face when you watch it? YEP! If you're into movies and shows along the lines of the kissing booth, to all the boys and high school musical - then give this a go. Go in with no expectations.

And I have to add - the music was great! Loved it. Not teeny bopper crap that you would usually find on a teen show/movie. It was pop rock at its best, and I would even listen to it on Spotify.

Give it a go.

Solid start and great storyline

But man, it could have been so much better! I was all for a cowboy romance, but this was literally a G rated wannabe :( I was dissatisfied and a little disappointed after being quite excited. It was an easy watch with likeable characters, cute cowboys and cows... and I'm glad I've seen it because I really wanted to, but I won't be watching it again.

A great who done it!

Loved it, watched it all in a day! Kept me guessing and had me a little shook! Don't know what I was expecting, but it exceeded anything I thought. It wasn't the teenage romance drama I was thinking it may have been. More a crime drama with a little mystery.

Can't wait for season 2!!!!

Oh, the negative reviews are pointless.
27 November 2019
Don't listen to the negative reviews. Watch the show and make your mind up for yourself.

Each episode is it's own movie and yes, some are a little cheesy and predictable, some are a lot of fun, some are emotional and some are heartwarming.

I really liked it. Is it the best show I've ever seen? No. Is it one I thoroughly enjoyed? Yes.

Give it a go, it's an easy watch and who knows, you may like it.

How lovely

What a lovely, heartwarming and smile inducing film. Vanessa was made to star in Christmas romances, let's be honest. If you want to smile, love a cheesy romance, love a Christmas movie and a little bit of fantasy, this one is most definitely for you.

Love this show!

I don't understand the lack of ratings and reviews! This Aussie drama is a major step up to some of its predecessors (let's be honest, Aussie dramas are definitely not to the caliber of the US or UK). The acting, storyline and variation of story make this an easy watch and has me waiting for more each week!

Love it!

A light hearted, beautiful, easy watch.

This movie is a beautiful sentiment to elephants and the animals of Africa. With a little slow burn love story that doesn't over power with cheesy remarks and far fetched cliches. I found myself a little teary by the end and completely satisfied. Just a lovely film that put a smile on my face.

Couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

Seriously, I was smiling the whole time. I had to write this because, people need to give this a chance! Remakes are inevitable nowadays, so instead of criticism, I think we need to appreciate. I sure appreciated this. It was colourful, magical, musical, beautiful and comical. I laughed, smiled, gasped and clapped a little, I won't lie. The music gave me goosebumps, especially 'Prince Ali' & 'A Whole New World.' I have nothing more to say than, just go, have no expectations and just enjoy. I honestly can't wait to see it again.

Go in with an open mind and open heart.

This movie had me crying, laughing, gasping and completely mesmerised from start to finish. It was worth the wait, it was full of things I did not expect and some things I did, which is good too! I honestly loved it and I'm going to go back and watch it again. YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE.

Is it the best film I've ever seen? No. Did I enjoy it? YES!!!!!!! It was a refreshing, different and interesting flick that had me hooked. It was a little freaking but I wouldn't call it horror - just more thriller! I just had to see it through and so glad I did. I've watched it twice and enjoyed it even more the second time! I'm sick of the reviews that criticise because it isn't the best movie they've seen, it doesn't have to be! It's just a movie, and it's a good one! An original one! And it's nothing like a quiet place!!! Don't listen to that either. Completely different! Well done Netflix - a great watch!!!!

Outlander: Down the Rabbit Hole (2018)
Season 4, Episode 7
10/10
Pleasantly Surprised!
16 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I was a bit nervous about this episode, being such a lover of the novels. I understand changes have to be made when transitioning book to series - and I respect that to a degree. But staying to true to the story is important, and I had heard and seen some reviews to say this episode steered away to much. Well, I'm glad I do not agree with any of the reviews or comments I have seen. I loved this episode! I think a little time away from Jamie & Claire was refreshing. I love Bri & Rogers story and seeing it brought to life is so surreal, and I have to add that Sophie & Richard okay these characters so incredibly well. Ed as Stephen Bonnet - wow, what a character! They kept him true to the book - maybe a little better looking than I pictured, but still just as evil. Yes, the story differs from the novel - but the main information remained the same! So I fully accepted and enjoyed the changes! To be honest, I was captivated. Seeing more of Franks story was also interesting - and seeing the love he had for Brianna and how he had found out Claire goes back to the past at some point, because she died in the past - was a great little Easter egg thrown in there! It made sense as to why he just wanted to leave, take Brianna as to not risk her leaving him too and just let Claire go... I could go on, but I won't. Just watch it. Enjoy it. Don't think to much and just let it unfold! Next week is going to be emotional that's for sure!

Surprisingly Good! Lovingly Addictive.
16 May 2018
I actually loved this movie... The story was quite unexpected and I found myself just wanting more! It was a good length too, didn't end too quickly and actually gave the time to respect the story. Loved how Elle was strong and didn't give in to Noah, as he definitely was not perfect! Was quite a female driven film. But some man eye candy for sure ;) I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys a good romcom... I think I'll even watch this again.

Enjoyable! Don't listen to to the critics!
15 April 2018
If you're looking for a feel-good, bit of a tear jerker country romance movie, then this is for you! Very much so along the lines of Nichols Sparks romances and that's more than okay by me. No, it's not a blockbuster nor does it stray from a bit of cliche. But does that make it any less enjoyable? No.

I'm not going to write about the plot, the acting etc. I don't need to. This is a feel good movie with some beautiful country music to boot. Give it a go.
