Reptile (2023)
Wasted two hours of my life
I like that Netflix finally released a film without increasing the saturation 150%, but the rest... what a waste of time.
The narrative itself was completely let down by the editing department, who flicked between shots without any establishing of where they were, how long had passed, what was going on etc.
If this film had been put together by a team that wasn't fresh out of film school, it would have worked perfectly. Adding scenes for no reason and stretching the time to two hours, does not correlate to making a masterpiece.
Aside from the obvious disasters, the final shootout was good and the acting was okay.
The Handmaid's Tale: The Wilderness (2021)
Absolutely spot on
One of my favourite season finale's on any tv show I've ever watched. I absolutely cannot believe that some viewers didn't rate this episode much at all, but there's a reason that The Handmaids Tale grows in viewers each year, and this is it. They absolutely delivered. This show has the some of the most perfect cinematographers, actors and plot lines I've ever witnessed.
Spoiler ahead...
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion of course, but if you disagree with June's revenge... you clearly can't see what makes for incredible television. Wow wow wow.
Aftermath (2021)
Pretty damn freaky
I don't scare easily usually, but there's nothing like a good home invasion for me. Although it isn't quite as "based off true events" as it portrays, the story is pretty horrifying to watch and the characters feel a lot more realistic than other horror stereotypes.
Would definitely recommend!
