How pro oil republican can you get!
14 November 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This documentary promises alternatives but only delivers disappointment. I can't tell if this was supposed to be a shill job for oil companies or a partisan snow job against alternative energy? I'm sick of Democrats and Republicans employing people that only endorse their position and we are stuck in the dark again. Mark Mathis is a publicity seeking media man that works in radio and certainly knows how to cloud a subject, using his talent in bias he tries to persuade viewers into thinking he actually knows anything about energy. He doesn't. He does know how to whip people up though, and does so with gusto. If you're looking for ammunition for a position, this may work for you. If the point is to learn something take a pass on this one.

Mo'Nique: Behind Bars (2007 TV Movie)
10/10
Amazing
23 September 2007
Not sure what to expect from this? Guaranteed it will be different than you thought. Monique manages to indict American perceptions that the people behind bars are all evil. The truth is that 95% of us have done something that could warrant incarceration. A reoccurring theme was "one bad decision away from being your cell mate." This was a comedy show with a message that people are not disposable. Possibly a bit too much cursing for the average viewer, but she was still funny. This was much more than just another comedy routine behind bars. There was an extremely moving impromptu song from one of the inmates that left typically cool an ice cube Monique in tears. This was either very well staged or was one of those extremely rare show stopping events that will be shown over and over. Everything from entertainment to life lessons composes one of the best comedy shows this year.

Dead & Deader (2006 TV Movie)
6/10
Humor, nipples (mens and womens), and flesh eating Zombies!!!
16 December 2006
This movie was about average for the Sci-Fi channel. Dean Cain added some humor. Not wanting to give away the plot let's just say this is the standard comedy with zombiesque "movie of the week" qualities.Mad scientist, Army men(Douglas Tait,) hot babes(Susan Ward,) One black Eddie Murphy type character(Guy Torry,)etc. Even though the formula was stale "Dead and Deader" is better than some of SF-C's movies. The female breast on the one corpse shocked me because it slipped past the sensors. So guys slow the Tivo when you see the metal examination tables. The effects were better than usual also because they didn't over use the CGI. Better stories are needed for us hard core fans.
