Road Games (2015)
Simply couldn't stand constant switching between English and French.
For god's sake, make up your mind. What was the purpose of this? Nobody needs this kind of "realism" any more to make movie believable. It was auditory equivalent of nauseating beginnings of 3D, but worse. Two sexy women (yes, older one too) just weren't enough compensation for this torture. Sorry. Psychological thrillers make their "sale" on the basis of, well, psychologically thrilling the viewer. Not linguistically. While I can appreciate the fact that this movie is a proof that blood and gore are not unavoidable ingredient of nail biting movie, completely unpredictable mingling between languages barred me from getting into the story, at all.
Black Sea (2014)
Wow this is actually very good movie!
I might be a little biased here since I really like submarine movies (but on the other hand, who doesn't?). The sheer claustrophobic situation by definition that those crews willingly subscribe to... It's the setting alone that's almost a guarantee for good fun and suspense. It would take a really bad director to mess things up with such premises. And this movie didn't disappoint either in that regard. Bunch of people hardened by life and previous experiences, lead by Jude Law who proves to have matured into fatherly, protective, manly figure. I think we can all agree that process of maturing of this actor happened before our eyes in quite a short time, in very positive sense of a word. And the end... Ah the end, it's small and short detail, unexpected (at least for me), delightful yet heartbreaking. Go see it. It's a good fun, suspenseful movie, even emotional. Basically, everything you could expect from submarine movie and more.
I Am Soldier (2014)
Newsflash for those who made this film (or any other for that matter)
You know, there are at least 15-20 million of people in Europe that know how Serbian sounds like. Why insult them with pathetic attempts of non-native speakers trying to wrap their mouths around it in such a terrible manner that not even native Serbian could understand what a hell they're trying to say? It's unacceptable with today's technology. You could have found local Serbian teens, pay them a hamburger to dub those parts. This way it only amounts to super low production. Otherwise I can't say I didn't find some fun in the movie, even acting is not so bad as other reviews might make you think. If it only wasn't for those joke parts in which (supposedly native?) Serbian woman butchers the language to unspeakable extent...
Furious 6 (2013)
Complete and utter rubbish.
Believability of this movie is on par with XXX (Triple X). As someone already said, there is unnecessary fight between allies that no one else but them sees. The part where Vin catapults himself out of his car to catch his girlfriend is... well.. I was pretty certain such scenes died out from movies ten years ago, but no. The movie is insult to intelligence. I came to check it on IMDb expecting to see not more than 4, and finding the people value it 7.4 is just another proof you quite often can't believe IMDb rates, both high and low. Watch it with your kids if you must, but be prepared for some royal punching in your believability synapses.
